Chapter 9: Two of a Kind

When I was just a kid, I was an orphan at an orphanage that was in the countryside, life at the time was never as easy. My life never really went anywhere other then that place. I was always thinking about how this world was, and eventually I learned that only the strong rule the weak.

During the time we were locked up in a facility where we knew nothing about, they were using us as test subjects, like caged lab rats, I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for Saris.

We were only young teenagers when it all happened, during the time where the Core Project campaign began, we were the lab rats for that place. Orphans of all ages from 8 years old till 16 where taken from orphanages or from other unknown areas.

When we had been taken from the company, they all tricked us into thinking we were all going to be fine, and when most of the others were taken, we no longer saw them again. Since the day we had escaped from the facility that had kept us trapped for 4 years, me and 6 others vowed to erase all of Core and its individuals from the face of the earth. Thus, we were know as merciless terrorist throughout the state. On the time we were at the Core faclilities this is where I met Rias, A pessimistic Girl with crazy luck, Leo, A boy with sharp eyes, Arson, a sneaky boy with quick thinking, Connor, a genius when it comes to computer hacking, and lastly Saris, a crazy girl with abnormal capabilities. Apart from all of us having different gifts and talents, the most different from all of us was Saris, she was the one who had helped us while she was breaking out, I could also say that she was the most craziest girl I have ever known.

As our days gone by, after we had escaped the facilities, we have been working our asses of to get all that we needed to fight back Core and the society they have manipulated, we kept walking strong and we never fell apart. Eventually, with all the fighting we went up against with, we forced an advantage that we have against them. And now, we finally have captured a high standing representative of Core, if we find out their plans from this guy, we are one step ahead from getting what we want.

"Hey, you want some?"(Rias) Rias was passing me a slice of pizza that she had gotten delivered.

"No thanks Rias, I'm not really in the mood for pizza"(Nero)

I sat down on a couch in the living space of the warehouse.

I had many things on my thoughts, and while Saris is beating the shit out of the guy we're holding hostage, I just hope she doesn't mess up. 

Our base was made in an abandoned warehouse away from the city, so we have some clearance of anyone looking for us, and since we are near a place that has a grid jammer, they have no idea where we are, they will just not see us under the satellite radars since we have special jammers on our wrists, plus the added effect on the warehouse.

There were other orphans that have escaped just as we have, they help us on some occasions but they rather live a normal life away from the things that have happened, and those that didn't want this corporation to get away with what they did still help us and keep on watching from afar in case we are of need.

After waiting for a while I got up and went to the room holding the hostage, this warehouse was a good spot to have as a base, good thing we took it and fixed it up.

"Aaargh"

"Please! Don't kill me!"

"Either you talk about the hidden Plans that Core has, or I cut off the rest of your fingers!"

Just by walking near that room I can hear the interrogation going well, but she's taking too long. I opened the door and walked in the room. They heard me walk in and Saris turned her head towards me.
