The Forgotten God

Chapter 13: Second Motion

#Numbers 34, 23, 13, and 1, please present yourself to the Directors office immediately#

Through an Intercom, Numbered individuals are called through to proceed to the Directors office. 

The individuals were all walking through hallways with no emotion, they were all successful test subjects of the Core projects facilities, and now, as such subjects are headed to the Directors Office, here the subjects respond with fully accurate movements, like soldiers, they responded as they were given orders.

However, the last one to come, which was the individual numbered 1, was nothing like a soldier, this girl was a successful test subject, yet she harbors her emotional feelings, and she also holds her humanity, Still she follows orders reluctantly.  

After each had walked into an elevator one by one, they all went up in a matter of seconds, as each special casket-like pod was able to be used by the numbered individuals they had arrived at the lobby of the directors office. 

While most of them stood around emotionless standing side by side, only one was able to enter at a time, and then they would go back to the specific area the individual was in. 

As each had already passed and entered, it was finally time for the girl to enter. 

With an irritated expression, she was to walk in without any emotion,  she was who she wanted to be, and they could not kill her or let her go either, as she was the first source of power they had found, she was the only one who was able to withstand the tests that Core had put her though, she was the first Project that core had begun with, they originally considered her a failure, but with such great power and yet she was able to constrain all of it makes them take it the other way. 

As she walked into the dimly lit spacious office and stood by, a man was seated on a chair that was turned to the opposing side, as to not let anyone coming from the door see his face.

As she stood silent for a moment, she then crossed her arms angrily.

"I'm here"(1). 

Not till a moment later the man in the chair facing the opposite direction speaks.

"Well, I didn't expect you to come this time, number 1. I thought you would never come"(Man) She Sighed at his remark.

"I obviously could not stay put down there forever, I guess I have a few things to say to you"(1) 

"Sorry, but I cannot listen to you at the moment, we are in a small crisis, and I have a small deal I want to make with you"(Man)

A short moment of silence overtook the atmosphere between the man and the girl. The girl took a quick deep breath and spoke.

"Fine, whats the deal?"(1) 

"Well, we already know about the abilities that you can get when the artifacts have been formed into a liquidated form of metal, but.... We have encountered a major problem in 9th level lab area. We have created a manifested version of a god from such artifact, although he is still a child, his power already poses a threat to this world as it is, and since you have the means and the know-how of the use of this power, I will provide you with anything you want, even your own freedom back to your world if you request it. What I am asking of, is for you to kill it"(Man)

The Girl knew very well what this would have meant, the power of the artifact was not for one to mess with, and if what the Director said was true and is currently concurring within the moment and inside the facilities, this could cause a national problem.

"I'm sure you know this could be the end of the world, since it is still in its early stages of power, we need to counter its power immediately, I have already given orders to the other numbered test subjects, and they are already on it, but you, being the one with the most stable out of all the others and also one of the most powerful that this facility has seen, I want to know if you can use your force against it"(Man)
