A/N [Jan 18, 2017]: If you want to skip the background info/slightly boring parts and go right into the action, skip to chapter 7 :)

I can't believe I'm backstage!

Good thing that security guard was distracted or I never would've gotten away with jumping that blockade... Meet and greets are supposed to start in 4 minutes, I'd better run if I'm gonna make it in time. I hope I don't stand out because I don't have that lanyard around my neck (pictured above), everyone that passes by seems to be wearing one.

This place is so creepy; just a white hallway with no decorations whatsoever. You'd think the Barclays Center would have some sort of mural of the Nets players on the wall. OH MY GOD THERE'S THE LINE. My thoughts began to race. THE LINE FOR THE MEET AND GREET. MY FOUR FAVORITE PEOPLE ON THIS PLANET! THEY COULD BE RIGHT ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THAT WALL OH MY GOD! "HEY YOU!" a husky voice shouted at me. I turned to see a large, buff man dressed in all black pointing at me with an accusatory look on his face. Oh God, what do I do?! He definitely knows I'm not supposed to be back here! I look at the line once again and decide it's now or never- you only have one chance to live your life, and that time is now.

I sprinted towards the line, in hopes of catching a glimpse of one of the boys. But before I could get halfway there, other security guards had noticed the unraveling scene I had created and started closing in around me. I ran as fast as I could but I felt a pair of strong hands grab my waist and hoist me up with a firm grip. I don't usually act like an animal, but my adrenaline was rushing and I yelled "LET ME GO! I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG!" while kicking the air in an attempt to squirm out of the hold of the rather intimidating security guard. I ultimately failed, and he quickly carried me through the hallway and threw me out of the back exit onto 6th Avenue. "IF YOU EVEN TRY TO COME BACK INSIDE HERE AGAIN I WILL MAKE SURE YOU ARE BANNED FROM ATTENDING ANY FUTURE EVENTS AT BARCLAYS. GOT IT? GET A TICKET OR GO HOME!"

I felt my stomach turning. I felt dizzy. My world came crashing down around me. I ran around the building to a spot where nobody could see me and I started to sob. My only chance to see the boys was this moment right now. I can't afford concert tickets and this was my only chance. I feel so... heartbroken. So empty. I could feel my heart aching as I continued to sob, the world turning gray as my eyesight blurred into a watery pool of darkness.

Suddenly I woke up, gasping for air with tears beginning to dry on my face. My alarm clock had gone off, waking me from my miserable dream, or more suitably, nightmare.

"STAINED

COFFEE CUP

JUST A FINGERPRINT OF LIPSTICK'S

NOT ENOUGH"

My alarm clock sounded from the other side of the room. I purposely set my iHome play the most upbeat One Direction songs as my "alarm" for the morning, so I would have a motivation to get up and keep on trying. The only motivation I ever had in my life was knowing that the Boys were there for me every day. They make me so happy.

I love them all, but Niall is my favorite. I am head over heels for him: his beautiful hair, those gorgeous eyes, his amazingly sweet and funny personality, everything about him is so perfect.

I've never been able to go to a One Direction concert before because I could never afford it, and I still can't. But that isn't going to stop me this time. I am 19 years old and I've finally started to realize that I am in control of my own life. I was so naive when I was younger and I let my parents ruin my self esteem and motivation, but I've grown since then. I am slowly helping myself, and along the way, separating myself from them. It's going to be a while before I can support myself, but I can't wait for that day.

The Boys are having a concert tomorrow at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, and I have been planning on "attending" ever since 1D announced their tour dates for OTRA. I wasn't able to save enough money to buy a ticket for the concert, although I tried very hard to do so. So now, I've been left with one option: to somehow find a way to meet the boys and/or sneak into the concert. Today I've decided to test run my plan since there will be a Nets game at Barclays tonight. I'm going to find out where the celebrity entrance is, and I am going to try to see if I can meet one of the players, or attempt to sneak into the game itself.

We'll see how that goes...

Hey guys! This is the first update (I know its a bit short) but I just wanted to get it up so you could get a glimpse of the story.

I still have to figure out the plot of the story which shouldn't take me too long...

Comment below and let me know if you like short updates or medium ones, long ones, or a realllly long one! I tend to stop writing when I feel my "idea" is finished, so the story feels more put-together. I don't like it when too many ideas are thrown at you at once.

I am going to work on the next chapters now! I hope you enjoy the concept :)
