6. Taking Chances

(A/N September 2016) Hope you're liking the story so far! Sorry if my chapters are sooo long lol, sometimes when I write, I let all my thoughts out until its one complete (non-cliffhanger) work.

NIALLS POV

I exited the curtain only to find an empty hallway.

Where is she?! Oh my god, I hope she didn't leave! I'll never see her again! My heart began racing as I sped down the hallway towards the front of the bus. I struck each curtain in my way with my forearm, rattling all the hooks in the process. Just as I was about to hit the final curtain leading to the front room of the bus, I noticed voices talking and stopped in my tracks. It was Sofia, for sure, and she was talking to Liam.

I leaned against the curtain to hear what they were saying.

"It's really been rather fun, these past few days," I heard Liam say. "You know, we are spending this upcoming week in New York."

"Oh really? That's so cool, you're going to have an amazing time," Sofia replied.

"Yes, don't tell anyone, but we are going to be shooting a music video at our hotel this week! We have only this one week to complete all the filming before we go international on the tour." Liam revealed.

I laughed to myself. The poor lad is always so excited that he blurts out important secrets. But I'm not mad because I know Sofia would never tell anyone about the music video.

"Oh my god, really?!" Sofia exclaimed with a great amount of excitement in her voice.

"Yes, really," Liam chuckled at her excitement.

"Is it for Made In The A.M.?!" She squealed.

"Yes, yes it is Love," Liam said sweetly.

"Wow, I bet it's going to turn out amazing! So you're filming it inside the hotel?" She sounded like an interviewer. I got butterflies in my stomach thinking about how cute she was acting right now.

"Yes, we haven't released the name of the track yet, but it's going to be our next single. The music video is going to come out a couple of days after the song." Liam explained.

"I bet the video will turn out just perfect," Sofia said with admiration.

Liam laughed a great deal. I knew why, but poor Sofia had no idea. I laughed myself, behind the curtain.

"Did I say something wrong?" Sofia sounded nervous.

"No, Love," Liam continued to laugh. "It's just that you've completely guessed the name of the song without even knowing what it is!" Liam explained to her.

Sofia gasped. "REALLY?!" She said excitedly.

"Yes, the name of the song is actually called Perfect." Liam revealed yet another secret to her.

"Wow! That is so funny! I promise, I didn't know that it was called Perfect," Sofia laughed along with Liam.

"I believe you, Love." Liam sighed.

This was the perfect opportunity to cut into their conversation. After all, I'm the one who should be hitting it off with Sofia. I can't have her falling for Liam now.

I pushed open the curtain and took them both by surprise. Liam had some notes spread about the couch, and his laptop in his lap working on something. Probably that song idea he was talking about earlier.
