A/N [Jan 18, 2017]: If you want to skip the background info/slightly boring parts and go right into the action, skip to chapter 7 :)
(Just to clarify, the text in italics indicates Sofia's thoughts)
9:15 AM
I stared at myself in the mirror and brushed my hair, ready to head out of the house. When I finished I grabbed my bag and attempted to sneak through my apartment, trying very hard to avoid being noticed by my family members. I inched through the narrow hallway, avoiding the squeaky floorboards. My brother was watching TV in the living room, and I could hear my mom cooking something in the kitchen.
I tip-toed behind the couch, simultaneously darting past the kitchen doorway. I grabbed my jacket, hat and gloves off of the coat rack and left through the front door as fast as I could, then I sprinted down the hallway to the stairwell.
I let out the breath I had been holding and made my way downstairs. You see, I don't really get along with any of my family members. Although I think my other brother is starting to become nicer because he's realized that he doesn't want to become a clone of my father. My dad is very strict and mean, and he has basically forced my brother to follow in his footsteps. His job is not noteworthy at all; it is rather disgraceful, if I say so myself. But I'll save that story for another day.
I decided to take the day off from class today because I needed some time to plan my "break in" to the Barclays Center. College professors don't seem to care whether or not you show up, they just give you grades based on the work you hand in and could care less about you as a person. College is so pointless these days, and since I don't plan on doing anything spectacular with my life, I decided to go to a local CUNY (City University of New York) school. Low tuition. Huge classes. Easy to float right through until graduation. Going to a CUNY also gives me a chance to actually have a job and go to school at the same time, which is very important to me since my parents don't pay for me at all. They always were the hardest on me, so I basically grew up without a true childhood. I went straight from little kid to adult without the guidance of anyone but myself.
I headed to the Dunkin' Donuts down the street from my house so I could work on my plans. Once I got inside, I saw that the line was pretty short, so I ordered a coffee. I found the most secluded table and sat there, pulling out my notepad and pen. I went to work, and after about 45 minutes, I devised a seemingly simple plan. Let's hope it works.

5:30PM
6th street is pretty busy right now. Aaaand its freezing.
God, the things I'd do for these boys.
I made my way to what I assumed was the back entrance of the Barclays Center. Right now, there's a lot of construction going on, so the NYPD are not focused on anything but keeping the pedestrians out of the way of the construction work.
This is perfect. I hope this is the case for tomorrow night.
I snuck up to the loading dock and saw an employee entrance. I hid behind a dumpster so I could see who would be walking in and out. 10 minutes passed and I was starting to freeze. C'mon!!! Someone! PLEASE walk through the door! It seemed as if God heard me praying because just at that moment, a tour bus pulled into the parking lot by the loading dock. To my astonishment, the people who got off the bus were none other than the ENTIRE New York Nets Basketball Team! Thank God! I thought to myself. This means I'm in the right spot! The Boy's tour bus is definitely going to be here tomorrow!
The basketball team filed through their special entrance and I leaned closer to the edge of the dumpster. They had lots of body guards, and I did not want to be seen.
Now was the perfect time for me to try to sneak into Barclays. As the last of the body guards walked into the building, I sprinted towards the door. It was one of those doors with air-pressure so it didn't immediately slam closed. Luckily for me, I got there just in time, but I kept the door open just enough with my hand that it appeared to be closed, so the team had some time to walk away from the door. I waited there for a minute, peered my head inside, and then opened the door and walked right in.
I looked down the hallway and saw a swarm of people walking around getting things ready. I decided to spy a little bit so I was familiar with the setup for tomorrow.
As I made my way down the hallway, I made sure to stay as close to the wall as possible. I could see the locker room for the Nets, a good sign, because this meant that famous people were very close by. I peered around the corner and saw a common area for all the crew members in the stadium, which caused me to squeal in pure excitement. I've definitely found the right place to be.
I decided that I was ready for tomorrow, so I went back to the door that I came in through, and I speed-walked home. The bitter cold didn't phase me now, because I was so excited for my special day tomorrow.
I'm sorry this is so boring but I have to set the scene for the story and give a little background into the character's life. I promise my idea for this story is very good, but I don't want to give anything away ;)
A lot of excitement will be in the next update. I am going to start writing it right now, and I'll upload it after I'm done proof-reading it. It is pretty late right now so I'll probably upload it tomorrow.
Happy Reading!
P.S. Happy Valentine's Day to you all! I want to do a Valentine's Day Niall imagine, but I will see if I have time for one tomorrow... :\
