So, we time-skipped a few days forward. Basically, I'm staying at Spain's house for the duration due to problems back home with clearing up the festival. They need to use my house. However, England's threatened to attack me and Romano if Spain doesn't go to war with him. Today is the day he leaves, and I don't want him to go.

And sorry for it being so long again, but Midnight and I roleplayed most of this out and I just added bits in and took others out and I thought it was really good and had to put it in a chapter. I didn't realize it'd be so long! X_X

Enjoy!

I open my eyes, blinking a couple of times, then suddenly sit up with a jolt, eyes wide. It's today! Quickly, I rush to get dressed and race downstairs, yet somehow manage to eat breakfast before Papa comes downstairs. He ruffles my hair gently, before sitting and eating breakfast with me. I hide my emotions behind a smile, enjoying these last few moments with my Papa.

We chat idly for a bit, before he gets up, tucking his chair in, and strides toward the door. I get up too, just as he opens it. Suddenly not wanting him to leave, I throw myself at Conquistador!Spain's back, wrap my arms around his waist and bury my face in the back of his jacket. "Papa, can't you stay a little longer? Just another day, please!"

Spain twists around in my arms to face me and hugs me gently against him. "Ah chica, I wish I could. But I must go to war now, I cannot delay it any longer."

I look up at him, on the verge of tears. "Then take me with you! I've always fought by your side, I don't want that to change!"

Spain sighs, petting my hair back gently, being careful to avoid the curl. "Lo siento, Zubicu, but I can't risk losing you. England is a lot stronger than he was before in your last encounter with him, and as much as I want to I can't take you with me." He pulls my arms away from around his waist and holds me by my shoulders, bending down to look me in the eye. "You'll stay strong for me, won't you?"

I nod. He wipes away the tears from out of my eyes. "Don't worry, Zubicu. I'll come back home before you know it. I've arranged for Romano and your brothers to stay over with you while I'm gone, but you're not to go back to your house until I'm back, do you hear me?" I nod again, still miserable.

"Just make sure you do actually come back home, idiot. I don't want to have to go and save you again like last time." I mumble.

He chuckles. "I promise you I will. You just stay home with Romano and your brothers and take care of business for me, OK?" I nod. He hugs me one last time. "That's my senorita." He turns away, stepping out of the open door. He turns his head to me, tipping his pirate hat with his gloved hand as he smiles at me. "I'll be back within the year!" Then he's gone, and the door's closed. I stare at it, before sinking to the ground on my knees, sobbing, already missing him.

After a while I hear familiar pawsteps behind me, but don't look up or resist as Sukrutra picks me up in her mouth gently by the back of my shirt, and carries me to the sofa, setting me down on it gently before lying down on the ground in front of it as I curl up into a ball. She nudges me gently, whining. I lift my head to look at her through tear-blurred emerald-green eyes, and gently scratch her behind her ears. She purrs, leaning her head back. I smile slightly. She still manages to cheer me up a little, although that doesn't stop me from missing Papa. I wish Romano and my brothers would hurry up and get here. I'm glad Spain recruited more than one person to come take care of me. It'll take a lot to keep my mind off him, and more to stop me from going to help.

I sit upright on the sofa, then re-curl myself into a ball again as I hear a knock on the door. Sukrutra nudges me but I simply grumble in response, not any words, just a noise. She sighs and goes to open it. I always ensure the door's unlocked during the day, unless I'm out, so any friends can come in as they please. Also, this means Sukrutra can use her paw to open the door easily, since she can't turn a key in the lock. Sure enough, I hear the door opening and quiet murmurs of the two conversing before Sukrutra pads back in and take up her previous position on the floor in front of me. The sofa dips beside me as someone sits down next to me and hesitates before pulling me into them. "Oi, ragazza. It's OK, alright? The tomato bastard can take care of himself." My heart jumps at the sound of his voice again and I look up to see Romano actually smiling slightly down at me, care in his eyes. I nod slightly, then realize something. My brothers are normally here before Romano would be...
