Daryl and I were sitting with Merle talking about a run. If the Governor wants a fight we'll give him everything we got, but right now it's not enough. Rick walked in carrying Judith.
"Beth take the morning off?"
"She's going to be quite the mother one day."
Rick walked over looking at our map.
"Going somewhere?"
"Merle's been marking out the places that have been cleared of supplies."
"And?"
"There's another town a few hours away. I went on a scouting mission there. They have a small gun store that doesn't seem to be lotted."
"Does the Governor know about it?"
"No. I was saving it in case I needed something to sweeten him up."
Rick nodded and grabbed a bottle for Judith.
"I'm taking Carl and Michonne in the other direction. I want you back as soon as you can."
We all got up to get our stuff together. I packed my medical supplies and zipped up my bag. Daryl and Merle met me outside. I waved goodbye to the group and pulled out of the courtyard. I looked over at Daryl and smiled.
"The worst part about this trip is going to be Merle's mouth."
Merle leaned out the window and hit a walker with my bat.
"Yeah! Come on follow Merle."
He swung again and got blood on the side of my truck. I reached across Daryl and pulled him back into the truck.
"Don't make me strap you down, Merle."
"Don't tease me, baby girl."
I shook my head and pushed the tape into my radio.

I stood on top of my truck keeping an eye out for walkers. Merle and Daryl hopped from car to car getting gas. Well Daryl was. I'm pretty sure Merle was just looking for drugs. I pulled back on my bow and shot a walker heading for Merle. I motioned for us to round up and kept an eye on them. Daryl stopped near the door and caught me as I slid off the roof.
"Are you driving?"
"I can."
"Great."
I tossed the keys to him and jumped into the truck. Beside me Merle was looking a prescription bottle. I rolled down the window and tossed it out of the truck.
"What the hell was that for?"
"I need you sober for this."
"We've got two more hours."
"And who knows what we'll come across."
I rested my head on Daryl's shoulder trying to ignore the throbbing pain in my shoulder.

Daryl woke me up just outside the town. Merle was already hanging out the window with his rifle.
"You ready for this?"
"We don't have a choice."
I got out of the truck and kissed Daryl's cheek just in case we didn't make it out.
"You call that a kiss?"
I smiled and put my hand on the back of his head. He pulled me towards him and kissed me.
