Chapter 4

The next week at school I decided to tell Luke. I walked up with Anna, super scared. Anna said that she would back me up if I needed it. I pulled Luke aside at break and said "Luke, I have to tell you something." He smiled and followed me. Once we got outside he said "So what do you have to tell me?" He said. I looked over at Anna, took a big breath and replied "Luke, remember a few weeks ago? Well, um, a few days ago I took a pregnancy test and it, uh, came back positive. I'm pregnant." His face was in complete shock and it looked like he had a loss for words. I could see the anger in his eyes. He replied "How do you know it's my baby you sl*t?" I was in complete words and hurt very badly, I mean, how could someone you love say that about you? I looked over at Anna and saw she was mad. "How dare you say that about my friend? You were he first and only. You were her first crush, and she had her first kiss with you! She lost her virginity to you!" Anna shouted at him. By now a lot of people were looking around at us but I was happy Anna said that to Luke. Luke replied "I'm not ready to be a dad, I'm too young. We're through Sadie." I was so mad and sad I ran to the bathroom and cried through the rest of the day missing 5,6,and 7th periods. Anna tried to comfort me but I was a wreck. My first love just broke up with me, and I was left all alone pregnant. Once my dad came home from work he could see I was distressed and he asked me what was wrong. I told him and he got super mad at Luke. He wanted to go over to Luke's house and go off at him, but I had told him just to call his mom and let her know her son was going to be a dad. I didn't care if Luke got in trouble, because after what he said to me, I didn't care about him one bit. My dad called Luke's mom and said to her "Hello..... Yes, this is Sadie's dad. Listen, a few days ago my daughter found out she was pregnant and um.... You're son is the dad of the baby. She told him today at school, and he called her a sl*t, and then he broke up with her. She is still mad at him, and I don't want them back together, I just wanted to let you know that you're sons going to be a dad, and that he should stop using harsh language towards my daughter. Goodbye." He hung up before she could reply and then he said to me "It's okay sweetie, me and your friend Anna will be with you every step of the way." My dad was my lifesaver.
