Natsu's POV

I woke up to someone slightly shaking me.

"Natsu, don't move fast, but the crew just docked on Tropical Island. I'll help get Lu off of you," Levy whispered, as to not wake her sleeping friend.

Levy walked around the bed and I didn't move an inch. At the mention of the island, I wanted to jump up and yell like a kid, but was fearful that Lucy would wake up. She was a lot warmer than she was when I crawled in next to her. Levy gently pulled the covers off of Lucy. Lucy shivered as the cold, sea air hit her. After a long process of trying to pry Lucy off of me. Levy and I walked out onto the deck as I was greeted by cheers. I glared at all of them and whisper/yelled that Lucy was still asleep. We hurried to get the ship ready for us to get on the island. I walked back to my room and grabbed Lucy, holding her close. We all walked around and asked were their hospital was. Lucy's breathing became shallow as we looked. Wendy walked next to me, checking the blonde in my arms.

"We have to hurry, Natsu. She might last much longer," Wendy exclaimed urgently.

I looked around and found a little building with a red plus sign on it. I walked in urgently, the sleeping Luce still in my arms. An elderly woman with pink hair tied up in a tight bun, walked up to us and saw our urgency.

"Come with me," she cooed gently.

We walked in the back of the hospital and I set Luce on the odd smelling bed. The old woman shooed me and Wendy out and shut the door.

~3 hours~

I thought I was going to burst. Dragon season made me edgy without Luce here and the worry on top of that, I was a mess. Wendy tried to calm me, it didn't help. I jumped every time I heard a door open or close. Everyone was on the ship by now or in the hotel Erza had found. The door to Luce's door opened and the old lady came out, looking tired.

"Your lucky you got her here when you did, or she would have died. By the way, I never caught your names. I am Porlyusica, the village doctor," Porlyusica introduced.

Wendy introduced herself, but I hesitated. I was well known threw out the seas as the Salamander Captain. I did anyways.

"Oh, yes. I've heard of you and that little band of rascals you take with you. It's good to meet you, Salamander," she chuckled.

So, we could trust her, I guess. I walked into Luce's room and saw her peacefully sleeping, more than she had for two days. She had an I.V. in her arm and a blanket over her. She had a bit more colour and her breathing was even.

I walked over along with Wendy and sat beside the bed, Wendy on the other side. I grabbed her hand and rubbed my thumb over her fragile fingers. I swore I saw her smile. Porlyusica, who was next to me, let out a sigh. I turned and gave her a confused look.

"I guess that you and your crew will go looting, now?" she asked, ice in her voice.

"Why would we do that?" Wendy asked her innocently.

"You helped or nakama, so why would we pay you back by stealing?" I asked.

She softly smiled.

"You are the most mannered pirates I have ever known," she chuckled.

The three of us laughed softly, as not to wake the sleeping beauty. I smiled lovingly at her and Porlyusica asked Wendy to leave. As Wendy left, she put on a serious face.

"She almost died. You are her mate, correct?"

"Her mate?" I asked, confused.

"Listen carefully," she whispered.

I closed my eyes and concentrated on my ears. That's when I heard it. Harps, playing a beautiful song. The song sounded like the Earth breathing. I opened me eyes and still heard the music. I looked at Luce and realized something. The harps matched her breathing. My eyes widened with shock. Sound...
Then it hit me like a truck.

~flashback~

"That's easy, dragon slayer. A dragon told me," Lucy said proudly. "Her name was Sound. She was a good friend, almost like a mother. She never thought me magic, however."

~End of flashback~

Maybe magic rubbed off on her, and she didn't know it. Something happened, and Lucy was blind to it.
Was Lucy a dragon slayer?
