(Your POV)

When we got to my house, we stepped inside and saw my mom taking out plates.

Mom: You two are just in time. The pizza came a couple minutes ago. I was going to call you but it seems that's unnecessary now.

My mom smiled and walked toward us.

M: It's nice to meet you Jordan.

Jordan: Nice to meet you too. I like your guys house.

M: Thank you, Jordan. You can call me Mrs. (Last Name). Well, come sit and eat. I wanna hear about what you two were up too.

We sat down a talked about our eventful day of video games. Jordan and my mom seemed to get along really well. He asked her about her day and her job and other stuff like that. Watching the way they got along made me a happy. He was such a gentleman. To me, Jordan was one of those people that was naturally liked by everyone. He was so sweet. He was smart. And he was handsome...

Mom: (Y/N)?

You: What?

M: I asked what you thought about it.

Y: Oh... Uh.. (Shit) I'm not sure..

M: Well, we can decide later. But I think the walls would look better painted red. But, blue might work.

Jordan: Why not both? Like, the kitchen could be one color, and the living room could be the other.

M: That could work. But it depends on the shades.

J: How about dark red with a light blue?

M: Hmm... That may work. I'll have to go to Home Depot and look at the color schemes.

J: Cool.

They talked on and on about the house and how good it would look with different colors. I knew my mom wanted to repaint some of the walls, but I didn't know she was planning to do it so early. I thought she'd wait a little longer. But I guess it didn't matter as long as it happened. eventually we ate cheesecake and the night was coming to a close. My mom got up to do the dishes and Jordan volunteered to help. If there was an award for the kindest person on the planet, he'd definitely win it. My phone was charging so I excused myself and went up to my room to plug it in.

(Jordan's POV)

I washed the rest of the dishes we used and handed them to (Y/N)'s mom so she could put them in the dishwasher.

M: I'm glad you're (Y/M)'s friend. She seems alot happier now. Thank you.

J: It was nothing really. She really cool.

M: It's good you think that way. Just...

J: Yeah?

M: Please don't hurt her. She won't talk about it but, she's been through a lot. So, promise me you won't hurt her. At least not intentionally. Accidently I can understand.

J: I promise.

What did she go through? As far as I knew, (Y/N) was a normal girl. Then again, I hadn't learned much about her past. All she really told me was her father wasn't around and she had no siblings. I heard footsteps and turned around to see (Y/N) enter the kitchen. I smiled at her.

J: I think I should head home soon.

Y: Oh, ok. Want me to walk with you?

J: You should stay here. It's pretty dark and I don't want you to walk back home alone.

Y: I'll be fine.

J: And I'm not risking it.

M: (Y/N) he's right. You should stay in the rest of the night.
