The Dauntless Fire (OC/Eric)

Chapter 9

I wake up, alone in Eric's bed. I get up and walk around to see if he is here, he's not. I grab some bread and butter and i spread the butter on the bread, i quickly eat it, because training starts in 5 mins. I walk out and head to the training room and i see that everyone is already there, i go and stand next to Isabelle and Aiden.

"hey" i say.

"hi" Isabelle say and Aiden just waves his hand. Four comes to the front of the small crowd of us initiates.

"hello initiates, time for stage 2, we can't tell you anything about it, so follow me" he says, he walks to an area and the dauntless born are standing there waiting. "we are doing going to call out names and you come with me into this room" he points to the door "first up is Cody, lets go, the rest of you wait here" we sit on seats near the door waiting for the next name to get called.

"Aiden" Four says, Aiden gets up and he gives me a thumbs up and walks into the room. Its just me and a dauntless born, we don't talk much, we just wait. 

20 minutes later the dauntless born gets called "Jacob" he get up and walks through the door, i watch him and try to take a sneak peak inside but i can't really see because Four is blocking the way, so I sit back and wait.

"Emily" Four says, i get nervous and my hands become sweaty, don't be scared your dauntless just get up and do it. I get up and walk up to the door, i look around the room and their is a dentist chair and a desk with electrical equipment on it. I walk into the room, "sit on the chair" i do what he says and i sit on the chair, he pulls out a needle thing, filled with a strange liquid, "this will be like your faction test, except it will concentrate on your fears, you will have to calm yourself to wake up, you will start off with only a few fears, you ready?" he asks.

"i was born ready" he smiles at my response, he plunges the needle into my neck, it stings for a bit but i get used to it, the room begin to spin and i black out.

I jerk up, it's pitch black, i knew it, I've had this fear since i was 3 and it still scares me cause you don't know who or what is with you, you can't see. How do i wake up? how do get through this? I hear sounds near me and i get into my fighting stance, ready to attack anything that comes at me. I feel someone grabs me from behind, i wiggle and push to get out, i kick them from behind and they disappear, i feel my heart and its back to normal speed. 

The lights flicker on and i see Aiden, Isabelle, Octavia, Eric, Four, Zeke and Logan, they are talking to each other, i run up to them and i say "Octavia?" and she isn't listening, i shake her and she doesn't take a glance at me, so i run over to Eric and i start say his name a couple of times, he doesn't answer, a tear runs down my face "no, no, listen to ME" i scream. "ok, you gotta be calm, just be calm" my heart pounds in my chest. I turn my back to them and i try to calm down, "just calm down" my heart start to slow down, thank god. 

I turn back around and i'm at Eric's apartment door, i open the door, its unlocked, as always. I walk into his apartment and everything is normal, i look around and i open the bedroom door and i see Eric in the bed with some other girl that i haven't seen before, my heart pounds and tears run down my face, my face blushes red. I walk out and slam the door and sit on his couch "this isn't real, it's not real" i say tear running down my face. I hear the door open and see that its Eric, his face is angry.

"i never loved you, i just pretended to see if you were dumb enough then leave you to break your heart" my heart feels broken. Tears flow down my face, as the words keep repeating in my mind.

"no, no, don't, please" my legs start to shake and they give out, i fall to the ground. I look up and i see Eric coming towards me and he vanishes, he just vanishes. I close my eyes and i wake up back in the same room with Four, my heart is pounding, tears are rolling down my eyes.
