Cassie
"– and then I slapped her in the face because she deserved it and that turned into a huge fight until Lenny calmed me down and send me up to my bedroom," I told Daniel, who sat across of me and listened to my story.
I was still at the hospital and Justin, Daniel and his girlfriend came visiting me. I didn't really want her here but Daniel begged to me at least tolerate her since he knew I couldn't stand her and me being so kind let her stay as long as she was not getting on my nerves in any way.
Three days had gone by since I had woken up from coma and I had to say that I felt better everyday. My doctor was really proud of my improvements and said if I kept going like that I was going to be out of here in no time. That was truly pleasing to hear.
Until then I had to kill some time here and what was better than to have company? The gang had been here the day before, visiting me for the entire day and I had been so happy to see them. They had told me that they were glad to see me up again and that they had missed me because I'd been gone for so long. It was weird because to me it felt like I just fell asleep at night and woke up again the next morning but to them it was totally different. But I was glad it was all over and I was back with them again.
Today I was stuck with those three only, which wasn't a bad thing (besides Nadja of course). Daniel wanted me to tell him some stories about things that had happend while we were apart so I went ahead and told them about the highlights. One of them being mine and Liliana's fight.
"Damn Cassie, when did you become so aggressiv?" Daniel asked me, his eyes a little bit wide in shock from my story and I laughed at his reaction.
"I think I have always been, it just never came out because nobody tried me," I replied to him shrugging my shoulders. I had always been the quiet girl, sweet and nice to everyone and I had tried to avoid any fights or any kind of trouble at all times. Now I seemed to be the one who was always causing trouble and being a bitch sometimes but I didn't mind. There was nothing I would change about the person I was now.
"You'd be shocked if you knew what she is capable of," Justin said next to me and I turned my head to his direction and raised a brow at him. He made it seem like I was the bad girl when in reality I wasn't that bad. Sure I had learned how to handle a gun and to fight a little but I had never done anything major with my skills. I was nothing compared to all the gang members and I sure as hell wasn't capable of many things.
"Is it bad that I don't wanna know because I want her to be sweet and innocent still?" Daniel asked, raising his eyebrows and pouting lightly, which made me giggle.
Sweet and innocent. Oh Danny, that girl is long gone.
"Maybe you'll never have to know," I said to him. I guess it was better if Daniel didn't find out that I was an actual part of the gang and did all the things they did, the things he did. None of them had mentioned that to him and It was better if he thought that I was under their wing because of Justin and because they wanted to protect me.
It was not going to be that important anyway soon because all I really wanted to do was to finally move away with Justin and once we did that my priority would be anything else but to handle gang business. It was for the best to keep quiet in front of him.
I didn't even know if he was going to be mad or upset with me but since the topic was not going to matter to me soon, it was not worth mentioning it.
"But did you really have to fight her?" Daniel wanted to know from me as he leaned back on his chair and raised his brow. "I heard she's a crazy bitch."
