“Aly, I meant what I said last night.” Jen explained. I laughed, running a hand through my hair. “Jen, thanks for offering, but really. I can’t do that to you guys! You’re a newly married couple. Enjoy the happiness while you still have it!” I joked. I could imagine as she rolled her eyes. “Come on Al. You know you would LOVE it if you lived with us! Or at least by us! And don’t say you’re a burden because you know that we love you!” She pleaded. I sighed and fell down onto my bed. “I don’t know Jen. I mean… what am I going to do about my parents? And the girls back home? What about my job?” I said, listing things that I knew didn’t matter. I would be able to see my parents whenever I wanted to with just one phone call, the next thing I would know, I would be at their front porch. The girls back home wouldn’t change without me. Sure they were my best friends, but nothing would change. Shelby was busy with her career, Alyssa was starting a family, Bailey was off in Paris for another modeling catalog, and well Jen moved down here. Everyone had their own lives. My job was just a small part of mine. “Alyson, you’re the modeling director at Vogue. I’m pretty sure that they can just move you down here. It wouldn’t be that hard flying over to New York for a fashion show!” She begged. I laughed and sighed, giving in. “Fine. You win. I’ll think about moving down.” I said, playing with the ends of my hair. “Think about it? Come on Aly! PLEASE!” She repeated. I laughed and shrugged. “Would you rather I not think and just go home right now?” I asked. I had already packed up my bags. My flight wasn’t until later that night. It was Jen and Justin’s second day of their honey moon and yet Jen called me to tell me she wants me to move in. Typical Jen. “Think away!” She said, giggling. I rolled my eyes playfully and ran my hand through my hair again. “I gotta go Al’s! Call you later! Bye!!” She shouted. I let out a small laugh and bid her goodbye. “Bye Jen” I laughed, hanging up. The house was pretty much empty except for a few of the maids and the pool guy, but after that, there was no one. I spent each dreadful hour thinking on whether I should go on that plane back home. There was no reason for me to be here any longer. The wedding was over, Justin chose Jen, they were happy. My fairy tale of what could have happened between Justin and I seemed to drag on to a nightmare, but now things… I guess were what they were supposed to be. I came here, expecting to see this “perfect” couple, to watch them get married, and to leave them, wishing them the best of luck. Somewhere along the way, I fell in love. I packed up what was left of my things and stood in the doorway of that room. The room where Justin had snuck in to kiss me goodnight, the room that he had showed that he had really “loved” me. The room where there had been nothing but lies. I came to realize that Justin never really loved me. He didn’t care for me in the way he told me he did. He just used me for his guilty pleasure. To have a little fun. I guess in a way I knew that that was all it ever was going to be, but something in me wanted more. A lot more than that really. I wanted him to feel the same way I had for him. I never planned on falling for my best friend’s husband. I never really wanted it to turn out this way at all. I shut off the light and headed down the stairs, suitcase in hand. I smiled at Lucy. She in a way was the maid… but in a way not. She didn’t have an outfit, she wasn’t treated terribly. She was treated like family here. I gave her one last hug before heading to the front door. “Lucy? Can you tell Jen… that I’m sorry?” I asked her. She smiled sadly and nodded her head. “Sure honey. Have a safe flight home.” She said. I nodded, reassuring her and turned to face the front driveway. As I stepped out, I heard the phone ring distantly behind me. Within seconds Lucy was at my side. “Miss Hale? Miss Aa… I mean Mrs. Bieber is on the phone for you.” She smiled. I nodded my head, taking the phone from her. “Thanks Luce.” I held the phone to my ear and answered. “Hello?” “Aly! You’re leaving!?!” Jen said, shouting. I shut my eyes tight. Great, now I had to explain why I was leaving. “Jen, I just don’t think it’s the right-” “NO. Al’s you can’t leave! Please! At least stay until we get back home! I can’t let you leave without saying goodbye! Please Aly! For me?” She asked, rushing herself. I drew in a deep breath and shook my head. “I don’t think that’s such a goo-” “Alyson!” She said, cutting me off once again. “Fine!” I laughed, sitting down on the front curb right before that LONG driveway. She sighed in partial relief and in victory. “Thanks Al. We’ll be home before you know it!” She cheered before hanging up. I groaned as I stood up, lugging my bags back up to the house. “Lucy?” I called out. She poked her head out of the kitchen and smiled at me. “You’re staying Miss Hale?” She asked. I nodded gesturing to the phone. “Jen made me.” I laughed. She nodded in return and helped me bring my bags back up to my room. {Three Days Later! The day Jen and Justin come home} I walked sloppily down the stairs as the door bell rang once again. I rubbed my eyes tiredly and answered the door. “Yea-” Before I had gotten the chance to finish, Jen threw her arms around my neck. I laughed. “You seriously had to ring the door bell? Don’t you have like a key or something?” I said, gasping for air. Jen pulled back and jumped up and down excitedly like how she would when we were younger. She’s always been REALLY hyper. “Well Justin is taking forever to get the bags out of the car and he had the keys so I figured this was faster.” She giggled. I stepped aside and let her in. “You do realize that there is a door in the garage right?” I asked, following her as she skipped into the kitchen. She gave Lucy a quick hug before going to the fridge. “What is with you today?” I asked, laughing. She bit her lip and shrugged. “Married life is Uhh-MAZE-Ing!” She said, smiling. The happiness in my eyes faded as I took a seat on one of the bar stools. Lucy placed a cup of Orange Juice in front of me and looked at me worriedly. I shrugged it off and smiled at her. “Well I’m glad you’re this happy about it!” I laughed. I turned my attention over to the hallway as I heard the door shut closed. Justin appeared in the kitchen within seconds, his hands and arms full with luggages. “Babe can you help me?” He squeaked. Jen laughed and went to go help him, Lucy following behind. He turned to me and smiled. “Hey Aly” He said. I nodded and turned my attention away from him. There was an awkward silence, but I’m guessing he didn’t make anything of it. He stood there for a second, waiting for me to say hi back, but gave up and went upstairs. I stood up and placed my cup into the sink. “Aly?” Jen called out. I looked over to her and smiled, disregarding anything that just happened. “Yeah?” I asked, walking over. She smiled at me and shrugged. “You okay? You’ve been acting a lot weird lately.” She said. I nodded my head and sighed. “I’m fine Jen. Really. If there was anything bothering me I would let you know.” I said. I sounded more as if I was trying to convince myself that I was okay. Jen believed me and walked back up the stairs. I followed her, but turned to go to my own room. My bags were already packed and all set to go. I managed to change my flight to today rather than three days ago. Justin walked in moments later, knocking as he entered. “Aly?” He asked. I slumped down onto my bed and glanced at him. “What?” I answered. He closed the door behind him quietly and sat at the edge of my bed. “Are you mad at me?” He asked softly. I closed my eyes slightly and laughed. So now he decided to care. “No Justin. I’m not.” I answered sarcastically. I stood up and walked over to my bathroom, shutting the door behind me. “Aly? What did I do?” He asked, trying to open the door. I opened the door within seconds. A sudden flash of anger bolting through me. “What did you do?” I repeated. I shook my head, annoyed with his question. “Hmm let’s see. ‘Oh hey Alyson! I love you. Let’s go fuck behind my wife, and your best friends, back, then I’m going to get married and pretend like everything is absolutely perfect!’” I said, practically shouting at him. He looked panicked, as if he was afraid that anyone heard. “Oh, that’s right. It was a secret! Jen doesn’t know, and you don’t want her too!” I said, snapping at him. He looked away, a sudden look of regret in his eyes. “What do you want me to say Alyson? She’s my wife. I can’t just leave her.” He whispered. I shook my head, tears flowing from my eyes. “You don’t get it do you? She wasn’t your wife when this whole. THING happened. She wasn’t your wife when you told me you loved me. She wasn’t your wife when you made me fall for you.” I finished. He looked at me and shook his head. Before he had gotten the chance to say anything, I cut him off. “I’m going back home Justin. I can’t be here any longer. I can’t stand living this lie anymore. I have to go back home.” I whispered. He shook his head, pulling me back. I looked at him through my blurred vision and saw that he was on the verge of tears. “You promised me that you wouldn’t leave me.” He said, taking my hands. “And you said that you loved me. I guess we both said something we didn’t mean.” I said, shaking him off. I walked out of my room and down the stairs, nearly tripping. I heard Justin follow me up until we reached the bottom of the steps. He paused, looking after me as I went into the backyard. I set myself down onto one of the lounge chairs, I shielded the sunlight from my eyes and took a deep breath. “Aly?” It was Jen… again. I looked away and quickly wiped my eyes of the remaining tears and glanced back over at her. “Yeah?” I asked. “Why are your bags all packed?” She asked, coming over to sit by me. I sighed, running a hand through my hair. “Like I said Jen… I’m going back home.” I told her. She shook her head. “I thought you decided that you’re staying?” She complained. I shook my head. “No Jen. I said I’d stay until you guys got home so we could say bye. You’re home. And I can say goodbye now. I have a flight tonight at seven.” I said. I sat myself up straight and looked over the glistening pool water. “Do you have to go Al’s? Please… if you can stay… stay… please?” She said, pleading. I looked up at her and gave in. “I hate how you do that to me Jen.” I said, laughing slightly. She smiled and pulled me into a tight hug. “Thanks Aly. You don’t know what this means to me.” She grinned. I laughed and pulled away. “Why do you want me to move down here so badly?” I asked her. She shrugged, “I guess having you down for this past month really brought back memories, you know. I guess it just made me realize how much I missed home.” She whispered. I curled my arm around her shoulders, comforting her. “Well why don’t you just tell Justin that you want to visit back home once in a while? Or even move down there? I know everyone would love it if that happened.” I said, running a hand through my hair once again. I had a really bad habit of doing that. I laughed and turned my attention back to Jen. “Well, I would… but you know us. Justin has his career. His mom lives over here, his dad in Canada, even his recording studio is here. Its been his home since he was fourteen. He can’t just leave it.” She sighed. I nudged her. “Jen, Los Angeles has been your home since you were born, you whole family is down there, your friends, everyone! You’ve lived there your whole life and left it in a blink of an eye.” I said. I knew I had a point, but I also knew why Jen couldn’t leave. It would have been hard on her, seeing everyone she left behind. Her parents never wanted her and Justin to be together, but Jen didn’t care. They met at a meet and greet in LA. Justin was doing some book signing I guess, and Jen skipped school to go. They stayed after a while and just started talking. He was only going to be there for the next few days, then leaving to go back on his tour. She didn’t have to think twice. She said it was love at first sight. The night that Justin was leaving LA, she snuck out of her house and ran away with him. Her parents went berserk trying to find her. When Jen finally decided to call home, it was to tell everyone that she was moving in with Justin, and his mom. Her mom went into a major depression mode after that, and her dad left to go find Jen and bring her home. After what had seemed like forever, they gave up trying, they didn’t bother calling her anymore, her friends lost contact, and she barely even spoke to me. I was practically the only person linking her to her home. Her real home. When they got engaged, Jen called her parents and invited them to the wedding. Her mom hadn’t said one word to her.“I just can’t Al…” She sighed. I nodded, giving up and stood up. “I’ll go unpack…” I said. She smiled, obviously pleased with my answer and followed me in. As we walked through the door, Justin was in the kitchen helping Lucy with lunch. “Hey Luce! Guess we’ll be setting up one extra plate from now on.” Jen smiled. Justin looked at her oddly. “Jen?” He asked. She nodded over toward me and grinned. “Aly’s moving in.” She said, answering his unasked question. He nodded, a small confused smile on his face. “Alright.” He said. I walked up to my room and started unpacking once again. There was a soft knock at my door. I didn’t have to ask or answer it to know who it was. “Can we talk?” He asked, stepping in. I set the shirt that I was holding down into its drawer and shrugged. “I have a feeling we’re going to talk either way, so why not.” I said. He sighed and leaned his back against the dresser. “If you’re going to ask why I’m staying, or what changed my mind. It’s not you.” I said. He nodded, “So then why are you staying here?” He asked. I looked toward the door, “Because my best friend needs me. And I’m not gonna let her down in her time of need.” I said, I sat down at the edge of my bed and brought my hands to my eyes. “Can we just… try to work this out Aly? Please? I made a mistake. I know I did. But you have to believe me when I say that I love you.” He said. I shook my head. “You can’t keep doing that Justin.” I said, I could already feel the tears forming at my eyes. “You can’t keep telling me that you love me then go back to being Jen’s husband. I can’t live like this forever Justin.” I whispered. He walked up to me, holding me gently by the waist. No matter how much I wanted to deny it, I really did love him. I didn’t just want a sex relationship with him. I wanted him to be mine. I wanted him to be able to hold me in public. I want him to be able to kiss me, and tell me that he loves me without having to be ashamed of himself. “Aly, I would give anything to be with you forever. If you want me to divorce Jen, I will. Only for you Al’s. Only you.” He whispered, placing small kissed down my neck and at my jawbone. “I don’t want that Justin. I don’t want you to hurt her. Not how you hurt me.” I said. He shook his head, wrapping his arms around me a little bit tighter, pulling me in. “I’ll do anything to have you Aly.” He whispered. He kissed me sweetly for a minute before laying me down in my bed. “I love you.” I whispered. The next thing I knew, my lips were connected to his, moving in synch. He took off his shirt and jeans before hovering over me. Mesmerized by his eyes, I felt him lift up my shirt. Within seconds, it was on the floor. I wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him down to kiss me. His hands trailed down to my shorts, pulling them off as he did so. I felt his dick get hard as soon as he looked back up at me. I smiled and held his face in my hands, studying his every feature, like this was only a dream, and that I would soon be waking up. I slid off his boxers slowly as he unhooked my bra. I felt him rub up against me. I leaned my head back and let out a soft moan. He smiled and bit his lip as he rubbed harder. He stopped for a moment and took off my thong, running his hands against my legs as he did so. I wrapped my legs around his waist and sucked softly on his neck. I felt his boner rub up against me again. I drew in a deep breath and looked at him pleading. “Ju-Justin. do-don’t tea-tease me.” I said. He smiled and thrust into me, pumping me slowly. He shut his eyes tight and gripped onto my hips. I felt my body tense up, and by the look on Justin’s face, he felt it too. “Mmmm… That’s right baby..” He laughed. I flipped him over, taking his dick out of me for the moment. He glanced at me confused. “You okay?” He asked, panting. I nodded, taking deep breaths. I stuck him in me again, going faster and harder. Justin smiled and guided my hips. He pulled me down onto him and sucked on my neck while I fucked him. He let out a loud moan. I quickly put my hand over his mouth and continued. “Babe, don’t ruin the fun. People can hear you.” I grinned. He moaned into my hand again. I laughed as he tried to take it off. “Oh fuck!” Justin whispered, trying not to scream. He got out of me and flipped us over again. He slid down between my legs and spread them wide. “I’m only making the fun better.” He winked. Before I got the chance to register what he was doing, I felt his tongue go inside of me. He went as deep as he could, moving it around fast. I clutched the blanket in my hands tightly as I lay my legs on top of his shoulders, giving him full access to do whatever he wanted. I cummed harshly, Justin swallowing and licking every drop of it. I bit my lip and pulled him back up, shoving his dick back inside of me. I crashed my lips onto his before he got the chance to moan. I felt his tongue slide into my mouth, tangling with mine. I pulled back and breathed heavily as Justin pumped me again. He licked and sucked every visible spot on my neck, being sure not to leave any marks. He stopped humping me for a moment and caressed my boobs in his hands, massaging them. I felt him cum in me. I bit my lip hard to keep myself from moaning. I dug my nails into his back, though not hurting him. He thrust in me once more, harder this time, before pulling out. He collapsed beside me, out of breath. I kissed him roughly, laying in his arms. He intertwined out fingers, tracing over my hand with his. I smiled into the kiss and pulled back once again. “I love you Alyson.” He whispered, stroking my cheek with his free hand. I smiled back at him, kissing him once more. “I love you.” I replied. I replayed the whole scene again in my head as I watched Justin get dressed. I thought back on the argument we had just had. I thought back on the feeling I had when he said that he would do anything for me, just to have me. I thought back on the reason I had wanted to stop doing all of this. I ran over every little aspect of it. I couldn’t give up Justin, no matter how much I had wanted to. No matter how many times I had to tell myself that I should just stop this whole thing, and no matter how many times I tried to, I just couldn’t. There was a part of me that wanted all of this to end, that wanted me to stop doing this to Jen. But there was something in me telling me that this was all I really wanted. I wanted to feel loved. I wanted to have Justin hold me. I wanted him to tell me all the right things, to make me just want to live in the moment. I had all I wanted, everything I had ever dreamed of having. The one thing missing was just having him. He wasn’t mine. I couldn’t kiss him or hug him just because I wanted to. I couldn’t tell him I loved him every second of the day. I couldn’t even go out on a simple date with him. I lay motionless on my bed as Justin came back to kiss me. I tried my best to smile. I lay there thinking and watched as he walked out. “This is how it’s always gonna be Al. This is all it will ever be.” I whispered to myself, my weak attempt at a smile fading. I held the blanket closer to me as I heard Jen’s voice down the hall. Her laughter, I imagined her next to Justin. Whenever she was by him, she looked as if she had just won the lottery. Like there wasn’t anything else on this Earth that could make her as happy as he made her. I turned my back and faced the wall, tears streaming down my cheeks. I wiped them away, thinking. This day had been nothing but everything I hoped it wouldn’t be. I shut my eyes loosely, letting the tears fall free. Soon enough, I was asleep.
