A few hours later I roll out of bed.I head downstairs to find Alice making breakfast for everyone the scent of waffles overrides my senses. Alice and her husband Kevin O'Reily are my foster parents. They took Sarah,Jake and I in two years ago,so we wouldn't get split up into three separate homes. The O'Reily's have a son named Ethan, he's . . . okay. he's closer to Jake's age. The Plague is getting worse, Sarah has been sick for a few days. We don't know what it is, but if she's sick any longer we may have to plan yet another funeral. Now that we've moved in with the O'Reilys me and Jake can walk to school. We still go to the same school we did three years before. All the teachers watch me now, wary of what I might do out of my grief. They know what today is . . . just as much as I do. Around lunch I went to the Library, as I have always done since the incident, I looked up my parents just to to see their faces, and to correct the tabloids with grim satisfaction that every detail of my parents death is perfect. After awhile I start to hear a mysterious sound behind me almost like the tapping of my computer keys, yet not quite in time or on key with my typing. this sound is different, it's more familiar than strange almost like the tinkling gurgle of a small child . . . like laughter.
