Magic's Curse

Chapter 9

I turn to see everyone trying there hardest to suppress there laughter and smiles.I smirk to cover up my pain and say,"Next time y'all want to prank me,make sure I don't know what you're up to,"

I'm about to walk off when I remember the silver plate that was behind me,"Also you might want to make sure that I can't see your reflection."I drawled sarcastically.

All of them stared back a little stunned.I smiled to myself,I truly didn't think I would make such an impression on these guys seeing as they were all huge and better skilled then I."I'm sorry guys did I hurt y'alls feelings?Well you really shouldn't prank people it isn't very nice."

With that I turn to walk away when I saw one of the great hulking beast from my vision.I'm struck with a sudden epiphany my dream that i've had for the past few weeks wasn't just that it was also a vision.It wasn't of the past  but the future.I have dreamt of this moment and now I know what I must do,I have to save Amy from the Draguenfalyn or she would die.even though i'd just met her I knew there was no way I could continue with out her,everything that has happened thus far was because of her.This is what pushes me to grab Amy and run,she fought me the whole way,but I couldn't let her stay and fight.I knew she would be safer with me,I tell her the truth . . . I tell her everything,about the dream about how I couldn't just stand by the sidelines waiting for her death.When I could have done something,but instead of the big thank you I was expecting I got a cold hard slap to the face.

"What the hell is wrong with you my brother and our friends are still back there fighting for there lives to protect you and now I am here with you not doing anything to help them.What if your stupid prophecy  kills them instead because I wasn't there then what would you do?"she yelled,before I had a chance to reply.

She ran off back the way we came I quickly followed and ran with her knowing that if I lost her she would die.We found her brother and she told him about the prophecy,then he stopped and concentrated on the air in front of him.Shortly afterwards,the sky broke open and their friends fell from the sky.Chris started to heal Nathan and Liam while Will explained the situation then out of nowhere the Draguenfalyn returned and threw Amy aside.She laid motionless,but I knew she was still alive because she wasn't a bloody heap of bones.Then the beast turns its focus to the  others avoiding me completely.While they attacked,the beast transformed into a creature of sharp spikes and edges and it lunged for them all one by one giving them each a small shallow scratch but that was all it needed because they all collapsed and the sounds of battle ceased.I faced the beast and it seemed to be taunting me as well as I taunted it,but all I did was stand there my nerves and instincts battled for control.My nerves said to flee,yet my instinct was to stay and fight.I closed my eyes and tried desperately to will something to happen . . . then a bright light illuminated my closed eye lids and my heart pounded in my chest as adrenaline and power coursed through my veins.It was like everything and nothing all at once.I opened my eyes and realized what I was feeling pounding through me wasn't my heartbeat but the beat of the earth and all of it's life I felt the infinity of the sky,the rage of fire and the impossible balance of restlessness and tranquility that is water.I felt all of the Elements and they felt me.When I finally turned back to the Draguenfalyn,I let my instincts take over and in the blink of and eye it explodes in a colorful light that I assume is my magic,the world around me starts to fade to black,but before succumbing to the darkness my thoughts are of Amy,her brother and her friends.I send off one giant green spark into the Earth and just before I close my eyes for what feels like it will be the very last time,I am blessed by a vision of beauty named Amy.Then I let the world take me.
