As I woke up the next day, expecting Will to be there waiting to take me through a day of torture,I realized that maybe training with the element of water might not be so bad.
Then Will showed up. "Alright Gabriel it's time start meet me by the river in five minutes." Will announced before exiting my tent.
"Hey genius!" I yelled back
"What!?" He asked with a low groan
"I don't know where the river is. So how am I supposed to meet you if I have no idea where you'd be?" I replied smoothly as Will smirked and said "Trust me you'll find it."
As I walked outside my tent a few minutes later I'm drenched by a sudden burst of rain over my head. Well isn't that just great? I thought as I tried to conjure a gust of wind to dry me off. As I started to try and find the river I get the feeling that Will had a lot more tricks like that rain cloud up his sleeve, that he'd undoubtedly planned to use on me. Once I arrived at the river,,I saw Will sitting on the riverbank staring out at the after.
He turned to face me and said, "Your late, but we really don't have time to deal with that now. So water magic is simple, really all magics are simple because all you have to do is concentrate on your element of choice and guide it into your choice of action. Now, with water you can basically do whatever you want. What you really need to do is control the outcome, and you can contain anything that contains water like your clothes for example. You can keep yourself dry if you get wet or if there's no easily accessible water you can pull moisture from the air. Any questions?" He explained quickly with a strange bout of giddiness I'd never expected or seen from him before.
"Nope, just tell me where to start."I replied a bit excited myself I guess he's rubbing off on me lord help me now
"Okay, let's start with something simple," he simply before shoving me into the river "What was that for?" I asked slightly annoyed.
"It was for, your first task. Dry yourself off, without using your Withewren abilities." He said smugly
Alrighty then Mr. Smart guy. I thought to myself sarcastically before realizing I had no idea where to begin. As we sat in silence while I tried to dry off, in vain I might add, I began to think about the way i controlled the air. That's when I realized the secret to controlling the elements is thinking about them. How they feel and what they demand be felt. No sooner had I realized this Will tapped me on the shoulder.
"Gabriel." He said slightly unsure. I looked down at myself only to encounter a strange multicolored glow. I dried myself without a thought and walked to the river. As I stood on the riverbank I guided the river to rise above above our heads as we walked across to the other side.******************************************
After we finally got the whole glowing thing down to a minimum we walked back to camp and explained to the group why we were back early. Then Liam and Chris showed me a few official abilities I might need to pass this test Amy warned me about. When everything settled down I suggested to the that we keep going because with all the time we spent here Sarah might not have much time left.
"Gabe look, it's cool if I call you Gabe right? I mean I'm going to call you that anyway, but seriously Gabe dude we have to teach you to fight like for real. Not like you did with the drag a few days ago, real fighting skills that won't drain you." Liam said trying so hard not to laugh
"Okay. Fine we can start with the basics, but I'm on a timed schedule. I don't have time for for a lot ,but I might need to take enough to learn what I need to keep me alive long enough to get the cure I need for Sarah." I replied hoping I would make it to Sarah in time to save her,but knowing that I may already be too late.
