Dylan
I walked into the living room only to run smack into my two sisters Eva and Sage. Ouch.
"Where are you two racing off to?"
"We are gonna go play in the meadow." They said
"Without me?" I pouted
"Hurry your ass up if you don't want to be left behind," Sage said as they raced to the yard
"Dylan." My mom called out
"Yeah?"
"Don't forget Nyla."
I sighed. "Okay."
I picked Nyla up and entered the back yard.
"You can play now," I told her as I set her down
Nyla giggled, and I watched as she shifted into a furball. I smiled as she waited for me patiently. She was so darn cute with her light brown fur and her big doe eyes. Nyla's impatient whimper snapped me out of my thoughts, and I began to shift as well. Then I was barreling through the woods after Sage and Eva; although I had to slow down whenever Nyla would fumble.
When Nyla and I made it to the meadow Rafe, Tony, Eva and Sage were already horsing around and tackling each other. It was nice to let go. I loved running whenever I needed a release from everything, but in wolf form, everything was better; free. Nyla was trying her hardest to catch one of us and got pretty damn close to nipping Eva. She probably would have too, if Eva didn't make a sharp turn.
'Somebody get her' I sent telepathically
If one of us didn't snag her she was going to take a splash in the lake./
'I got her.' Rafe said gripping her fur with his muzzle
Nyla yelped and wagged her tail.
'You have to be more careful.' Rafe said nuzzling Nyla's face
Nyla yelped again and began her chase once more.
By the time we got back home, it was nearly dinner time. Tony and I helped mom set the table.
"Are we eating without a dad?" Tony asked
"Yes, he'll be late. He went to go see your uncle, Bryan." Mom replied setting the food on the table
Uncle Bryan wasn't really our uncle, he was really the beta in our pack, but he and my dad were like brothers, and with dad being the alpha, he was always spending time with us. They were both pretty cool considering their aga and position within the pack.
Tony cleared his throat "So, When are you gonna tell Nessa about us?"
I sighed, "I don't know. I don't want to scare her off."
"Don't underestimate her. She's a strong girl."
"I know she is." I smiled at the thought of my mate
"Then, have faith in her." My mom said patting my hand
I guess I'll just have to believe Vanessa won't see me as a monster. But how the hell am I supposed to tell her I'm a werewolf?!
