When Zion asked me to prom, I nearly melted. He was so sexy, and I was dying to see him in a suit. I looked in the mirror and smiled. Everything was perfect from my smokey-eyed makeup to my silver dress decked in in gems, to my silver strapped shoes. Zion was an absolute gentleman when he picked me up.
"You look beautiful."
I blushed for the first time in a while.
"You're looking pretty sexy yourself."
I was completely irritated that he, just like Emmett, immediately found Vanessa in the room. He kept his eyes on her at all times, and I was ready to throw a fit. I stopped myself from getting jealous when I remembered why we were together in the first place. He hated her just as much as I did. I glanced around and saw Emmett with some trashy redhead. He was obviously bored. I felt a smile creep on to my face; soon enough, he would be mine.
I made my way over to Vanessa and dragged Zion with me. Vanessa merely glanced at me before turning her full attention to Zion. I was getting irritated with their intense stare down. Before I could even get a word out, her guard dogs were at her side in a second. They really treated her as if she were some precious jewel. I held my hands up and stood back.
This was just a warning. She was going to pay, and I was going to enjoy every movement of it. I glared as Dylan and Kayden hauled her off and slumped into a seat next to Zion.
"Do you want to dance?" I asked
"I don't dance."
"What do you mean? Everybody can dance if they try."
"That's precisely why I didn't say that I can't, but that I don't."
I huffed. Was he always this much of a bore?
"So, when are we going to start this little plan that you got going on?"
"Soon."
I sighed.
"I'm supposed to be your partner in this, right? So give me a little more than 'soon'!"
Now slightly annoyed, he turns toward me.
"Look, for now, all I need you to do is keep tabs on Vanessa. What's she doing? Where's she's going and when she's doing it, okay? We'll move when I say so. So until then, don't question me."
I slowly nodded my head before turning away from him. I heard him sigh from behind me.
"Do you wanna dance?"
I smiled and took his hand. Maybe he wasn't so bad after all.
