I decided to go outside for a change, I took the route Haru and I took where we go jogging before practice. I saw a figure that looked like Haru's, I quickly turned back. But then "Makoto!" He called out, I turned around slowly astonished to what I just heard.
"Listen, I keep seeing you in my vision like your initial on a specific tree trunk near this landscape" Haru panted nervously.
"Oh that, well umm that probably another person don't think about it too
much" I blurted out as tears start to drop out of my eye. I can't believe I lied to him, I blew that chance of Haru probably getting some of his memories back. I turned and ran away through the forest, with Haru standing still astonished.
I can't, I want him to forget about our friendship. To start a new slate as strangers again. Like that incident at the playground never happened, we never met and argued that we both hurt each other. Never remembering the time when I confessed that I liked him before he left for Australia.
Tears went rolling down my face as I ran deep into the forest until I stopped and sat down under a tree. I stood up and looked at the trunk, it was the emblem Haru and I wrote when we were kids.
"M + H Best friends for Life. Inseparable"
