"Midnight!" I called from the dining table.
"Who's midni- oh my god." Jada said eyes widening
Midnight ran from my room and took off running down the stairs, only to slip on the last stair and go crashing into the other room.
"...." We all stared at the room unable to contain our laughter.
He bounded back out wagging his tail, and jumped in the seat on the other end of the table as I sit at the head myself.
" Well everyone glad you made it to this uhh....Exclusive dinner! Yea that's what I'll call it. Hope you guys enjoy the food was cooked by yours truly. "
" ok ok we get it jay, you can cook. Now can we eat?" Bryce asked impatiently.
"Haha. Sure bud. Cheers to be good friends everyone." I say as I raise my glass.
" CHEERS!!!" Everyone exclaimed quite loudly.
The evening went by in a frenzy of laughter and a all around good time.
We noticed ot was getting late when I looked over at midnight who was fast asleep with his snout buried in him mash potatoes
Me and jada laughed softly to ourselves as we saw the sight. I picked midnight upz ever so softly and gestured for jada to follow me upstairs. I opened my room door and walked in and, gently placed midnight on my bed and under the covers so he could sleep comfortably.
I opened the patio doors in my room and stepped outside, then sat down on the chair I kept there for stargazing.
I soon after heard jada walked to me as well and leaned on the rail and looked at the stars ever so gently. It was silent for a while before she broke the ice. "Thanks for having me over, I know you didn't have to but it's the thought that made me happy, and I wanted to thank you for that" She said looking down ever so softly.
"Hm." I smiled softly. " it's my pleasure really, and I'm glad you enjoyed youself."
She looked up at me with a hard to place emotion on her face, was it wonder, confusion? I couldn't be sure because it left her just as fast as it came.
"Thanks your really too nice considering I was a little bit too friendly at first...." She said trailing off.
"Too friendly?...." I mumbled to myself. "...OH! You meant the day we met when you..and me uhh..."
Jada chuckled softly and looked down and shuffled her feet. " yea that"
I turned my head slowly to gaze back at the stars. It remained silent for what seemed like hours, " hey...uh jada, I'm not upset that you did what you did. I never was I was just taken back really so all in all I'm just happy that we met." I stated softly slowly turning to meet her gaze.
She looked at me and teared up.
"Hey are you alright?" I asked as i stood up and gently held her shoulder.
"Yea I'm fine, I'm just soo happy I finally found you. Happier than I've been in a couple years, and it's all thanks to you
So thank you...
Jay"
I walked her downstairs and offered to drive her home but she said she was fine. I walked her to the end of my driveway due to her request.
" I had alot of fun tonight jay." Jada started. "I'm just really happy you invited me."
" anytime really I didn't mind in the slightest" I replied feeling slightly flustered.
She stepped up and gave me a long hug . I was suprised at first, but smiled and hugged her back. She pulled back slightly and locked eyes with me, we both leaned in slowly as I pulled her against me as we kissed.
The kiss lasted quite a while, then we both pulled away slowly breathing hard.
"Goodnight...jay." She said as she pecked me on my cheek and ran down the street with a big smile on her face.
I watched her until I lost her in the nights shadows.
That girl
Really
Is
Special
