I wake slowly that morning, confused as hell. My eyes wander to the right and I see everyone asleep. "Shit." I mutter attempting to stand up. I stumble into the bathroom to rinse my face. I look like a wreck. I look down at my ripped up dress and sigh.

Slipping on my shoes, I quietly open the front door and walk out. The cold breeze hits my face and makes me wish I had a coat. I take the ratty old bus home.

I give Bella a call as soon as I notice she isn't home, but there is no answer. I lay down on the couch and stare at the ceiling for god knows how long until I hear a banging at the door. "Cassandra Knight?" A man asks. I open the door to see a tall police man. "Yea... that's me." My voice trails off. "You're sister, Bella was put into jail last night.

When I reach the police station, I am exported into a room and see Bella sitting at a table. I sit down and look her in the eye. I hear someone screaming, which makes the police who filled the room run out.

"The hell did you do to get in here?" I snap. "Robbed a bank." She says blankly. "What?? Why?" I ask. "Needed money for the bill before they took away our apartment rent." She sighs. "How long will you be in here for?" I ask. "Don't know. But whatever you do, don't tell them we're sisters." She says. "Why not?"

"They'll put you into foster care if they find out about mom and stuff." She holds my hand. "Will you be able to manage for a few days?" She asks. "Yeah... I'll be alright. But what will happen to you?" I frown.

"I'm going to have to go to court and shit but... I have a clean record so it shouldn't be too bad." She hands me a stack of money and I quickly put it into my pocket. "See you soon." I wave goodbye.

I knew she was lying so I wouldn't worry about this. I step outside and light a cigarette before walking across the street. My phone buzzes in my pocket. It's from Imogen. "Last night was awesome gotta do it again soon see you Monday xx" I didn't remember much from then, but I didn't really want to.

I decide to stop by the gas station to ask about my job. "Hey Cass!" Jonah says as soon as I walk in. "Uh.. hey I was wondering when I could get started."

"Nice dress." He laughs. "Crap." I mutter, remembering that I never had time to change. "Come on I asked a question" I grunt. "I can train you today." He leads me to the register and teaches me how to use it.

"My sisters in jail." I say. "What'd she do?" He asks. "She robbed a bank." I say. "Nice." He smiles. "They're gonna put me in foster care if they find out my moms been missing." I stutter. "How would they find out?" He asks. "I dunno maybe coming to my house or something." I sigh. "Better watch out then."

He hands me a work schedule. "Thanks." I smile. After a few minutes of silence, I ask him something I know I'll regret. "Did you really mean what you said the other day?" I look away from him expecting him to yell. "Of course not Cassandra."He states while ringing up a customer. "Oh... alright." I force myself to stop asking questions.

"So how was the dance?" He asks. "It was great." I force a fake smile. All the sudden, he looks scared. "Are you... out to get me?" He frowns. "Out to get you? No... What are you on?" I laugh.

I hear my phone ring and pick up. "Hey it's me, Bella so I'm gonna be in here for.... a while. I need $2,900 to bail out and well, we're broke. You need to stay at Imogen's or something before they start looking for you at the house." I can hear her crying. "Ok Cass you need to do that for me." The cell connection cuts off.

I cover my face with my hands and sigh as I walk out of the gas station. "Cass? Are you alright?" He chases after me. I don't want him to see me cry. But before I can run away, or tell him to leave me alone he grabs my face and kisses me. "It will be ok." He then pulls me into a tight hug and at that moment I knew I had fallen into his trap once again.
