I sigh and walk in to the school building. "Bout time you came back." I hear from behind me. I turn and see Talia. "Cassie!" Harlee hugs me. Brandon slaps me up and we all walk up the stairs. I hated being back here. "Cassie." The vice principle says. "Yeah" I sigh. "Come in my office." I follow her down the hall and through the door.

"How have you been?" "Um.. pretty good." I shrugged and sat down in an office chair. "You've missed a few days. Have you seen your grades?" She asked. "No I haven't checked them in a few days." I admit. She hands me a paper. Three Cs, Two Ds, and Two Fs. "I'll bring them up." I

A few minutes later I am in class with my head down. I hate this place. I feel a tap on my shoulder and sit up. "Hey." Imogen attempts a smile. I reluctantly roll my eyes. "Cass.." She stood in silent for a minute and then said "Ok" Before walking back to her seat. I couldn't trust her nor even look at her because of what she did. Disappointment floods my mind as I stare blankly and the floor.

When lunch comes I sit at my usual table minus Imogen. "Cassie, are you ok you haven't said anything this whole time." Brandon asked but it sounded more like a bundle of words because my ears were focused on the echoes of everyone in the lunch room talking.

Ben, who is sitting next to me taps my thigh and points under the table. He opens his palm revealing 3 Xanax. I grin and take them winking at him. We both knew Harlee would get pissed if she knew he had a whole bottle of them. I sneak it into my mouth and wash it down with water. That's when I realized  that I was at the lowest point in my life. I take my bag and leave without a word. I think I hear someone calling my name.

"Cassie" I am awoken by Jonahs soft but deep voice. I look around the hotel room and assume that I passed out. "I know you won't pay for me to stay here anymore I need to pack my stuff and go." I sighed realizing that I should have said that days ago. I stumble when I stand up and hold on to the bed frame for support. I slam my suitcase onto the ground. "Cassie" He says again but this time with a less stern voice.

I pull clothes from the closet. I can't stop the tears flowing down my face. I start to have a panic attack. My breaths go from slow to fast and the room looks like it is closing in. "Relax Cassie I'm here for you." He handed me a glass of water. "Are you Jonah? Are you really? I don't understand..." I sob. "Don't understand what?" He asked. " I don't understand why my mom hasn't called. Or why my best friend got that picture of me all around the school. Or why my sister is so different now. Or why I'm so different now." My shaky hands try to grasp the glass but my instinct tells me to run to the toilet. After a couple minutes of throwing up I can finally get up. Jonah removes the cold towel from my face and frowns.

I walk out of the bathroom and get my suitcase together. I put a cigarette in my mouth and move my legs until I reach the street. The sun was setting and a cool breeze touched my face. And then I just went north.
