I wake up next to Theo's bright green eyes. I sit up and grunt because my head hurts so bad. He rubs my hand and smiles. Memories from the night before are a blur.

I look around and snap back into reality. We were in my hotel room and see Brandon passed out on the floor. Talia walks out of the bathroom. "Hey! Some guy knocked on the door like 15 minutes ago." She says, drying her hair with a towel. "What? Who?" I gulp. "I dunno but he was drunk as hell... He was asking for you I think but I couldn't understand what he was saying and he just walked away." She shrugs.

I dash out of the room and down 3 flights of stairs yelling his name. I find him passed out in the lobby. Blood is covering his face. I call up Talia and tell her to hurry down here. Theo and Brandon jog behind her with worried looks on their face.

"Hurry we need to bring him up to our room." I demand. The four of us carry him up and lay him on the bed.

I wash off the blood from his face and change him into a clean shirt. The others watch quietly. "Hey isn't this the guy you work with?" Theo asks. "Yeah." I nod hoping I don't need to explain any further. "We really should take him to the hospital." Brandon says.

So we take him, and I end up sitting in the waiting room for hours alone.

Finally, a nurse comes up to me. "Your relation to Jonah Landon?" She asks looking at her clip board. I hesitate and say "Partner." She takes me to see him and my heart hurts looking at him hooked up to so many machines.

"What happened to him?" I ask. "It's kind of... authorized. I have to get permission from the patient to tell you." She frowns. "Is he gonna be okay...? I gulp. "That depends on if he wants to or not. What I can say is that he really needs someone right now. He should wake up soon." And with that, she gives me a faint smile and walks out.

I look at my watch. I still have a few hours until Bella's court hearing. I hold onto his hand and start singing softly. "You have a beautiful voice baby." He squeezes my hand and falls back to sleep.

By 4 we are out of the hospital and walking to the hotel room hand in hand. "Will you please... please tell me whats going on?" I ask. "I can't." He mumbles and looks away. I let him rest in the hotel room and go to the court. The session only lasts about 15 minutes and Bella is set free, but has to do a shit ton of community service.

I take a taxi to the hospital and find the nurse I talked to earlier. I find out that her name is Mary. "Can you tell me whats wrong with him?" I ask. "Why don't you ask him." She says, not looking up from her computer. "He won't tell me.. can you please?" I beg. "I'm really busy right now sweetie." She says. I stand there for a few minutes when I feel the tears form in my eyes.

She cleared her throat and said "Cocaine Dependency". "What?" I ask, moving closer to her. "He is addicted to cocaine. He has been taking unsafe doses for the past year and it is effecting him mentally."
