I almost get a speeding ticket on the way to the hospital, there were so many things rushing through my mind that I forgot what the speed limit was. When I get to the hospital Mrs. Watson is sitting in the waiting room and as soon as she sees me she knows exactly who I was by the look on my face. She gets up and throws her arms around me tightly. By the way she was hugging me I had a feeling she was about to tell me some bad news. She sits me down in a chair beside her and holds my hand in her lap. She knows I'm dying to know what happened but she just sits there in silence. My leg starts shaking that it start to feel numb. Mrs. Watson puts her hand on my shaking leg.
"He was speeding, and wasn't paying attention to the road." She finally says.
I look down at the floor.
"This is all my fault." I say.
"It's actually my fault for giving him that car." She tries to say with a smile.
Tears start streaming down my cheeks.
"The doctors say that he has a broken leg and a punctured lung, but he'll be fine. He's a tough kid."Mrs Watson says.
I start mumbling to myself.
"If I hadn't kicked him out then he wouldn't have been mad and he wouldn't have been speeding."
"what are you talking about?"

"well, he did something and I was mad about it, and all he was trying to do was apologize. He brought me inside when I feel asleep on my porch in the pouring rain, knowing that I was mad at him but he still did it."
"It's okay Laura, we all make mistakes and say things that we regret. Chris is going to be fine, I promise."
I smiled at Mrs. Watson then got up and went outside for some fresh air, I sat on a bench and inhaled the air. An old woman came and sat beside me, she smiled at me but she could see the hurt in my eyes.
"I don't really see a lot of teens in this part of the hospital."
"My boyfriend is in surgery; he was in a car accident."
"if you don't mind me asking does your boyfriend happen to have brown hair, about 6 feet tall and really nice blue eyes?"
"yeah his name Chris, do you work here?"
The old woman smiled at me and put her hand on my shoulder.
"My husband was in the same car crash."
"I'm so sorry, is he okay?"
"He passed away about 20 minutes ago."
The old lady gave me one last look and got up and walked away, I didn't even have the chance to tell her how sorry I was. To be honest I don't think she would even care, the fact my boyfriend just killed her husband that she could have been married too for years and that Chris may have a chance to live makes my stomach turn. Mrs. Baker opens the door and waves for me to come inside, I can't tell what's happening but I fell a panic attack coming.
"come on Laura."
Mrs. Baker takes me to the room where Chris was laying in a bed......
