No More Secrets

I slowly walked up the steps to the front entrance of the school, only to feel an arm around my waist once I got to the top of the stairs. I turned, instinctively raising a fist to punch that person when I saw his eyes.

"Adrien, don't do that."
I scolded him, letting out a breath.

"Well sorry, (y/n), how would you like me to act around my girlfriend?"

"I'm not- we're not even- not in reality anyways..." For once, I was blubbering, not sure how to say it.

"No secrets, remember?"

"Adrien, I mean Fox Flame and Chat Noir are a thing, but..."

"You don't like me?"

"No! I mean, of course I do! Adrien Agreste the rich supermodel boy, who wouldn't date you? I'm just trying to make sure you two are the same personality. Besides, no one can know we're together at school. The whole 'secret identity' thing-"

"I can assure you that I'm just as cool as Chat Noir." He kissed my forehead lightly, "My lady."

A blur of blonde weaseled itself between me and Adrien.

"Ooh, Adrien! Were you just telling (y/n) just exactly how you were going to ask me to be your date for the school dance? I know how much that must hurt, hun, but don't be jealous or anything, 'cause Adrien's mine!"
She falsely smiled at me.

"Oh, there was a dance? Never noticed." He shuffled his feet.

"Well, now you know! See you later, maybe with my invite?"
She sashayed away, leaving Adrien's mouth open.

"(Y/n), I'm sorry but-"

"You know, it's totally okay if you're going to ask Chloe..."
I lied through gritted teeth.

"No, I want to go with you."

"Funny, no one asked me yet."
I poked him playfully in the cheek.

"Oh, alright! I'll find a cute way to ask you."

"Adrien, that's not how this works..."
