Adrien was at my apartment again, and we did our homework together. The tv was on a low volume, but the flashing lights caught my attention. I reached for the remote, and turned up the volume. Our eyes widened.

'Hawkmoth returns' was plastered in bold everywhere on the screen.

I glanced at Adrien. His fists were clenched tightly, and his face red. He stood abruptly, and stormed out of the room. I followed quickly.

"Adrien..."
I placed a hand on his shoulder, and he stopped. He turned, facing me.

"I thought he made a promise."

"We don't know for sure if it's him."

"Whatever, okay? Let's just...go."

I transformed, and so did he. He jumped from building to building, and I skated using the telephone wires. He snuck into the Agreste mansion, and kicked down Mr. Agreste's office door. It was a plain workspace. There were no moths in sight.

"Where is he?!"

"I'm right here."
Mr. Agreste stepped out.

"Why...?"
Chat lowered his staff in confusion.

"I'm not Hawkmoth anymore."

"Then who is?"
Adrien demanded.

"I'm not sure. But whoever it is, they're dangerous with the brooch. Go to sensei Yu and ask what he did with it, I gave it to him for safety precautions." He confirmed.

"Fox Flame, you go to Hawkmoth's recent attack area and-"

"While you get to kill Yu? I don't think so. Either we both go, or not."

"Fine. Ladybug's probably at the scene anyways." He grumbled.

We left through the window. He extended his bo staff to leave, but I stopped him. He huffed annoyedly.
"What do you want?"

"I want to know why you aren't relieved. You heard yourself, it wasn't your dad. So why are you still mad?"

"Look, I know it's not my dad. But I'm still mad because... because..."
He trailed off, looking sad.

"Chat, you can tell me."

"Because last time there was a Hawkmoth, you died."
His voice cracked, choking up.

"Chat..."
I wrapped him into a hug, and he quickly returned it. I kissed his cheek.

"I don't want to lose you again."
He whispered.

"Me neither. And you won't, I promise." He pulled away, relieved.

I continued.
"Now let's go burn up the place."
