A/N: the rest of these will be Bree's PoV
I sped. Down the road. Through town. I guess you could say I was trying to run away from my problems. But no matter how far I got, they always found a way to catch up. I couldn't stop thinking about Chase. All those times Adam, Leo, and I had bullied him, and taunted him. I regretted that.
I had already gotten my brothers to Central City, where they were patiently, or impatiently, waiting for my brother to wake up.
The sun was setting from my perch on the hillside. All those excuses I had come up with saying why I made fun of Chase. None of them were true. I knew deep down, it wasn't because he was short, or bossy, or stubborn. It was because I was jealous. Sure, I wanted his supersmarts. But it wasn't just that. I was jealous of his loyalty.
His ability to put others before himself. Something I could never do.
My jealousy got the best of me. My inability to put my life at risk to save more people, might just kill my own brother. That was something I couldn't live with. I couldn't save him. I wasn't fast enough.

Upon arriving at S.T.A.R. Labs, I could hear faint voices speaking in the lobby area.
"This is something I've never seen before," an unfamiliar girl's voice stated. "It was like, it was coated in some sort of poison."
"You've never seen that?" Donald's voice cut in. "With all your experience with Metahumans I would think you would have, Caitlin."
"That's the thing-"
"This was a huge mistake," Mr. Davenport muttered. "I never should have come."
"Just hear me out," the girl who must have been Caitlin, insisted. I could hear the urgency in her voice. "The knife was laced in some type of poison that would only effect bionic humans. That's the part I've never seen. I'll have to run some tests to figure out an antidote."
If there is one, I sigh, thinking to myself. I snuck past Mr. Davenport and Caitlin, and made my way to Chase's unit.
He was so stiff, and a sickly shade of white. He looked so lifeless. I wrapped my warm hands around his cold one, and stared at his face. People say that when your dead, they look peaceful. Chase had this different look on his face. Almost like confusion. Like he was stuck between life and death, and he wasn't sure which path to take.
I missed him more than I could ever imagine. It hasn't even been that long, but I can't help it. I guess what I'm trying to say is he's helped me a lot. Sometimes I wonder where I'd be without Chase.
"Look, I know I told you that it was okay to leave, if you wanted to, but please. Just, just at least give me a sign that you're going to be okay. That i'll get to see you open your eyes again."
No movement. Not even a flutter of his eyelids. Just silence, and stillness.
"Please. Chase, you have to wake up."
Still, nothing. Monitors beeped, people outside talked, but he didn't move. Not move of the head. Not a hand. Notice a finger.
Then I remembered. Poison. He was stabbed with poison.
Looking around the room before I did anything, I could see shadows outside the closed shades of the room, but no one actually here. I slowly lifted the sheet lying over top of Chase. The top of his mission so it had been taken off, and replaced with a bandage wrapped around his torso. There had to be some what I could get it off. If that was poison, anything could be wrong with him.
Chase was a bionic superhuman, not invincible, but more durable than a regular human. He shouldn't have gone down that easily. I may not be a genius like my father, or my brother, but I knew if he had poison inside his system, it could be eating away at him. Slowly but surely killing him in a slow internal process.
They say, when your in a coma, you're aware of everything that's around you. You can hear people talking, but it's like your lost in your own thoughts. You can't say anything, though you can hear it.
"I wonder if you can feel pain," I though aloud, pacing the floor. "When your in a coma. Since he's in a coma state, I wonder if he can feel the poison fusing into his bloodstream. I wonder, if he can feel the agonizing pain of, death."
The more I though, the more frantic I became. I had to be able to help him. I wasn't completely useless.
A pair of scissors(A/N does anyone else call them scissors, pronouncing the hard 'c' sound? Like s-k-issors? Or is that just me?)caught my eye. They were lying on the table, next to Chase's bedside. Am idea popped into my head. A horrible idea really, but a much needed one. I grasped the scissors, and slowly cut through the thick layer of fabric.
Before I could even finish cutting, I could hear the door open, and an unfamiliar voice echo through the room.
"What are you doing?" A man's voice, who couldn't be much older than I was, asked skeptically.
I grabbed Chase's hand, hiding the scissors within our grasp.
"I was uh, just keeping an eye I'm him. Just to make sure if didn't get up-"
He stared at me with big brown eyes. Like a puppy dog, but they had a coldness behind them.
"And walk-"
He started eyeing my knuckles, which were now white because had been holding Chase's hand so tightly.
"Away..." my voice trailed off.
"Right." The guy responded sarcastically. "What were you really doing?"
"Nothing."
He walked over, and I could feel how fast my heart was beating, like it could beat right out of my chest.
"Did you do this?" He inquired, pointing at the cut up bandage.
"Uh, nope," I lied. "It was there when I got here."
He narrowed his eyes. "Right...well, you should probably leave."
"Uh, what's your name, in case I ever see you again? I'm Bree."
"Barry." He said. "Or, the Flash if you will."
I tried to hide my smile. I had already known Barry was the flash. Cisco just couldn't help himself.
Forgetting about the scissors, I let go of Chase's hand, but as I did, I felt some kind of energy travel through my body, something that had never happened before. Almost like it was a signal.
So, I hope you liked this. It was a little slow moving, but I hope it picked up. Sorry I hadn't updated in so long, but I promise, they'll be a lot more frequent now.
Bree met the flash! What do you think Barry will do when he meets another speedster who didn't turn out to evil?
And what was the energy at the end? Will it go something like Barry and iris? Or was it something else.
Go's I left you off on so many questions.
So, again, I hope you enjoyed this!!!!! Until next time! :)
