A slight breeze comes in, whispering through the tree ad rustle the bushes. Quite and surreal. Almost like a dream. However, the master of tiger style, Tigress, could only make it out to be yet another peaceful day since moving out on her own.
She doesn't have much nor did she really ever. And frankly, she believes she never will. Thus why she moved out.
If she ever thought that she would have her life together by now, then this would prove it. At least this is the best idea she saw fit; what better way to show herself that not only does she know all the basic survival skills of a warrior and her Kung Fu skills as a Master to rely on when in danger, but to also know how to actually live instead of just surviving. Even now in her new little home. A first step to a new and possibly better life.
Sheltered from the elements, a place to eat and sleep, and on top of everything this little cottage was offered up by an elderly couple who happened to trade this house for someone to clean theirs once a month for payment.
However, Tigress does miss a few little things. Such as Po's obnoxious sleep-mumbling, and Vipers soft hiss whenever she was nearby. Oddly enough that small indicator alone let her know exactly what snake was coming up on her.
Shaking her head, she turns to look at the window.
Tigress likes the fact that she has plenty of privacy around here. Neighbors were at least over a half hours walk one way. It was nice considering she doesn't really have to talk to anyone. Just her and the peace and quite that settles throughout the wooden structure.
As much as she liked the silence, often enough the silent nights got to her. For someone who's never really been afraid of the dark, the eeriness of it creeps onto her every night. More then half the night she's sleeping down here in the dining room. Well, dining and living room combined into one.
But for now, in the mean time, she will continue to practice her Kung Fu style. Just because she let go of the role as a defender of the Valley of Peace does not mean she couldn't keep herself safe.
Keeping in fit not only helps keep her healthy, but she just might find someone worthy of her league. Like so many have wondered who exactly that would be, so does she.
She wonders what he would look like. Would he be tall? Muscular? Or perhaps more round with a beard? She groans to herself.
She couldn't understand why she was so obsessed with finding a mate. It's ridiculous, she told herself.
There's been many a time in which Tigress would hope one day that she could find love, hoping that it would fill the hole in her heart from a strict childhood and lonely life that she had lead.
Yet as the days wore on, that hope dwindles.
She had friends sure, but she wanted something more than friends and since she wasn't attracted to any of the males that she already knew she found it to be hopeless.
Maybe everyone was right. Maybe I am just a lost cause.
Well, not entirely hopeless. There have been quite a few that caught her eye. Much like the cheetah that was a wonderful conversationalist but he was awfully thin. Then there was the panther from Hong Kong who was more of a control freak then a lover. That wasn't going to cut it for her.
Oh how Tigress could recall the day she went to a match maker. The sweet little pig lady certainly knew what she was doing. Almost as if she sensed that Tigress had been uneasy about coming there. Barely a word came out of her, not to mention she was a nervous wreck, continuously looking at her hands in which they frigid in her lap.
The lady told Tigress to come back in three months and there might be a chance that there was someone for her in the Valley of Peace. Sadly she couldn't find a match for her but told Tigress that she didn't need a man to make her happy. Yet Tigress' tone of voice made the match maker think otherwise. That perhaps it wasn't that she wanted to hold her family name up high but rather just have someone love her for her. That is what made all the difference. Tigress left and continued life as it was at the time. The thought never left her mind.
This was her new life and she was going to make the best of it. One thing she could say is that if she did manage to find a decent love interest, he'd have to be strong, preferably stronger than her. He'd have to be taller than her, which wasn't hard since she was actually pretty short for a female tiger. Or so she's heard.
He would also have to have honor in himself and in his family. A man who would like or love to have kids someday and would take care of her when she couldn't. He would also have to let her continue her practice of kung fu. She was titled a master of tiger style so there was no debate in that category. The more she thought about it, the more she realized that there wasn't a single person alive who was at all like that.
Back to being hopeless.
Tigress got up from the ground, stretching her legs after sitting through the long period of meditation. Bending left , keeping the opposite leg outstretched, and then mimicked the same position on the opposite side, she bent side to side, reaching a arm over the side of her head in order to stretch her arms and mid sections.
I can do this, she thought to herself, there's nothing wrong with me living on my own after serving the valley all my life. It's high time I did something for myself.
A rustling in the nearby bushes interrupted her train of thought. Drawing her attention to the sound, she crouches. Stalking the unknown assailant before pouncing.
After tackling them, Tigress day up. She looked at them with severe annoyance.
