Only about two more chapters left after this? Songs are "Man on the Moon" by Phillip Phillips, and "A Fool's Dance" by Phillip Philips.
(A/N I don't have time to read over this right now to fix any big issues at the moment, I'll do that later. This is a Copy, Paste and run day.)
She did like any smart person would do, ran.
No way in hell was she going to go up against Lupus with only a dagger. Nope, she ran as fast as her legs would take her back to the abandoned house in hope. She could hear the snarling and growling behind her as she ran, getting closer.
Turning to look behind her, Lupus was on her trail, running after her. But Seth was slowing him down, biting at his ankles and sometimes actually dragging his leg backwards to bite at it him higher up, only getting another blow to him in the side.
She ran faster, not only her life depended on it but Seth's too. She slipped and slid on the mud beneath her feet, dragging her backwards, finally she reached the door to the house, the wolves approaching fast, she threw the door close behind and took in the room quickly. All the furniture still stood in the den, not as badly eaten away like in the cabin but close enough. Plants grew through the floor and up the walls, taking over the fire place.
She ran up the stairs, one board breaking beneath her foot, catching her shoe in the wreckage. The door then blew open, the two wolves crashing in. Lupus fell in back first but was quick to snap at Seth who had fallen on top of him.
Getting her foot free she ran the rest of the way up stairs, facing a long hall way of doors, throwing each one open and quickly searching for a gun, or any other weapon she could find.
The wolves crashed up the stairs, tearing a wall down with impact, shaking the house. Holding her ears she entered the last room, searching. She opened a small wooden dresser, a pistol sat in the floor board of it. Quickly she grabbed it and checked its load, spilling them all on the table top, she took one of the silver injections and made a pool of it on to the table, careful to not actually waste it, she rolled them in it quickly and reloaded the gun.
Something boomed outside the bedroom door, a tail could be seen, she was trapped inside the bedroom with no escape but a window.
She ran to it, nothing was there but broken boards like a porch use to be there. Looking over her shoulders she could see more of the Lupus' back end. She took a deep breath, debating her choice. Pocketing the gun and putting it on safety she decided to take a chance. She could never get this part of training down, but it was time to test it.
She opened the window completed, breaking off the middle part as it was already cracked. Backed up, and with one leap of faith, ran out the window and in to the air from the second floor. She spun quickly and out reached for anything she could get her hands on to, a moment of panic when her hands didn't connect to anything. Then finally she felt the wood underneath her fingers and grabbed, her shoulder felt as if it was being yanked out by the force as she swung in to bottom floor window beneath, that luckily had already been broke.
She landed and rolled on to her feet, nearly falling back down from dizziness. Dust, dirt, and small parts of the house rained upon her as the ceiling above shook from the massive amount of force and thrashing being done above.
Almost transfixed she starred up at the crack forming across the ceiling, snaking its way around, others sprouting out from it, looking like a small tree or a sky view of a river. Slowly it began to get wider.
the mind fog finally worn off, and with a spike of fear Scarlet ran away, just as soon as the ceiling caved in and the two furry bodies fell on top of the wreckage, massive amounts of dust, dirt, and a chalk like powder floated in the air, almost blinding Scarlet.
