CHAPTER TENPeyton's pov:
Do you ever get it when you have those really amazing days but then everything turns bad, but there's a possibility it could go great again?
It's Tuesday morning and school has just been canceled as the head teacher is making minor changes around the school. So, lucky for all us, students... WE GET A DAY OFF!!!!!!
It's around approximately 9am, Patrick and I were wide awake at 6am, ready for school... we could've had a lay in.
Poop.
I'm currently sat on the sofa, curled up with my fluffy blanket wrapped around me, keeping me all warm. Patrick is sat the opposite side on the sofa, his legs sprawled up against the head/back rest, almost laying upside down as we both watch The Walking Dead together.
"Wanna visit the P+P hideout today?" Patrick randomly says with a smile stretched out on his face.
Very random... The P+P Hideout was our childhood tree house. It has a load of old things we used to play with many years ago. I haven't been up there for about 5 or 6 years. The feeling of going back actually made me feel warm inside. I loved going to places that took me back to my childhood. Memories are grea-
"Peyton!?" Patrick shouts, waving a hand in front of my face, bringing me out of my reverie. "Well?" He pushes.
"Yeah, Sure!" I say triumphantly, answering his previous question. Today should be fun. I turn my attention back to The Walking Dead that was playing on the TV. This series is so god damn good!

"Woahh!" I exclaim in amazement as we come into sight of our amazing creation. Our childhood tree house which is in the middle of a forest that starts 2 minutes away from the house. This brings back memories. I begin to feel butterfly's in my stomach as we edge nearer to the P+P Hideout. It's taller than I remember, but it looks much more beautiful, the leaves surround the wooden tree house perfectly.
We continue to stroll towards it with wide smiles stretched upon our faces.
"You ready?" Patrick asks excitedly. I share a wide smile and nodded blithely.
I started to joyously skip past Patrick to get to the opening of the tree house first. What, I'm in a blissful mood? I then jumped onto a log which happened to be slippery because I fell straight on my bum...
"That's what you get for being a frog... A bullfrog." Patrick yells towards me, bursting into fits of laughter as I get up from my spot. Once his laughter finally dies down, he proceeds to do exactly what I had just done. He jumped on the slippery log and flopped onto is ass. Well, he is an ass, so..
"And you call me a frog!" I exclaim, laughing at him as he did to me.
Patrick sighs as he gets up. "Bullfrog!" He corrects.
"Bullfrog" I mimic, putting on a deeper annoying voice, he shakes his head, letting out a breathy chuckle as he rolls his eyes.
We arrive to the stepping ladder, and slowly make our way up to the top. Once we reach the top, we enter inside through our secret entrance. I go first and Patrick follows behind. Once we've crawled inside I let out a few coughs as everything is so dusty. Patrick turns on the battery powered fairy lights which brightens the whole space perfectly. I'm wondering how they still work after all these years...
"Hahah, wow." Patrick mumbles. I agree, this is so perfect. I can't believe we haven't been up here for this long! We start strolling around the room, picking up a few toys and testing them to see if they still work.
