I left my parents to their "date" after the crisis was finally averted. Before I left everything seemed fine. I smiled as I remembered their wistful expressions. Even though they were a bit controlling, it was just because of how they love.

As I exited the restaurant I can't help but breathe salty air as I smiled. The stars are out and the night was beautiful.

"The night's beautiful." I muttered to no one in particular. I don't care if someone might hear me. This moment needed to be acknowledged, in a way. It would be a waste if I'm just gonna stay in my room.

"Hey" I was startled when I felt his breath disturb the small hairs on my skin near my ear. I whirled around to glare at him.

"Stop sneaking around!"

Tristan laughed and then he took my hand to guide me towards the railings overlooking the ocean. "Do you wanna go somewhere?" I frowned then craned my neck to look at him.

"What do you mean?"

He gave a shy smile and it actually caused me to lose my words. It was unnerving to see a guy like him to be shy around me.

"I just thought that this would be a perfect night to get to know you." I cracked a smile when he sounded so unsure.

"And why would this be the perfect night?"

I know that it's cruel and evil to torture him more but I doubt I'd get a chance to do this again anymore.

My smile turned to a grin when he reached behind to scratch at his neck and he actually blushed.

Damn. He's so adorable...

"Because the night is beautiful and so are you."

This time, I was the one who blushed but that didn't make me loose my words completely.

"So you're saying you're only gonna "get to know" me when I'm dressed up for a perfect night?" His eyes widened in horror when he realized his mistake.

"No!"

I arched a brow and waited for him to explain.

"What I meant was-" He blew out a breath then turned his accusing gaze at me. "You're not gonna make this easy on me are you?"

I shrugged "Why would I?"

"Okay. Then if I got this right, would you finally go with me?"

"If you really believed what you're gonna say, then you won't need a deal like that."

I don't know why I enjoyed his discomfort but I did. What's so special about him that turned me into a sadist?

Oh yeah, he looks adorable when he's like that.

He seemed to be steeling himself before those mesmerizing gray eyes turned to gaze deep into me.

"Look, I don't care if I'm gonna go out with you when you're PMSing, looking like hell and there's a blizzard outside. I won't expect you to be the perfect girl, I'll just try my damndest to make you feel like you are."

I don't know what I looked like at that moment, but inside, I'm sure it looks like someone melted it. Somehow, he finally said what I was waiting for someone to tell me. With my parents expecting me to be the perfect daughter they wanted, I got tired of acting like one. Some part of me was enough with the idea that someone finally got it but a part of me was still waiting for him to prove it. Choosing the reasonable part, I decided to wait for him to prove it.

"Okay"

His expression changed from being anxious to being confused.

"What?"

I sighed in mock annoyance before I finally allowed a smile to stretch my lips. "Yes, I'll go with whatever you planned today."

It's not like I've got anything planned anyway. Besides, I already planned on testing what Tristan said awhile ago. What better night to do it than this night when I've already decided I won't let it go to waste?
