It had been 2 weeks, and the only confirmation I got that Poe was alive was a glitchy message to the main computer frame. I was in a constant state of worry, most of these worries were irrational, Poe was one hell of a pilot. I just wanted Poe to return soon, safe, and all in one piece. The sessions with Ms. Lila had been going well. I was now using a walker and could go almost anywhere with it. Except for stairs, those were a pain in the rear end. I was close to completing my goal of being able to greet Poe when he returned. Now he had to hold up his part of the deal and, well, return.
"Finn," A nurse said breaking my train of thought from the doorway "There is someone here to see you."
"Poe?"
A figure stepped through the door and I recognized her immediately, it helped that she had the same hairstyle.
"Nope, just me, Rey."
"Rey! Your back!"
She sat on my bed returning my smile.
"Yeah, just for a bit, more of a pit stop actually."
"Where are you going?"
"Oh, just back to Jakku." I couldn't tell if she was lying, which bothered me because Jakku.
"Please tell you are joking."
"No actually, we need some...parts, and Jakku is well known for that with the old Star Destroyers and stuff."
"What kind of...parts?" My tone fell, something odd was going on.
"I can't exactly tell you, sorry."
"No, no, it's all good." I tried to give a reassuring expression.
"Strict Jedi business." She said with a laugh.
"My bad, I forgot."
"Well this is what we look like, Jedi's that is. Although, some do look different."
"Ha ha," I said monotone like.  "Hey, could you maybe do me a favor?"
Her face grew perplexed, "What?"
I shifted in my bed, "Could you see if there has been any word of Poe?"
"When we got here they told us all about the situation, I'm sorry Finn."
"Why are you sorry for me?"
Her face grew soft, "Nothing."
"What?  Rey, please tell me."
She sighed, "When you were unconscious, I used to visit you a lot."
"Yeah..."
"I wasn't alone."
"I know Poe  would visit."
She looked slightly impatient, "Yes, but he used to talk to you, when he thought no one was watching.  He would tell you stories, and hold your hand.  He would sit by your side for hours and hours."
My heart skipped a few beats, "So, that's just us being friends... Right?"
She threw back her head and laughed, "You two are both so blind, when I tried telling him he just denied it."
"Telling him what, Rey?"
"You know what?  I'm going to stop being the wingman, it'll be interesting to see how you both figure it out."
"Rey, you know I don't know what wingman means."
She smiled, "Of Course you don't, that's why this is so interesting."
Her words where confusing me, what did everything mean? I was sure sooner or later I would figure it out, preferably sooner. Everything Rey was saying seemed to travel back to me and Poe.
"Would you see if there was any news of Poe? Please Rey."
" I will I promise."
