Chapter 13- Old memories.....

We had shifted to my apartment and set everything up by 4 PM

"Your apartment is really very nice."

"Thanks Zoe"

"You should go sleep right now"

"I swear I am tired af"

"You will be fine on your own right Zoe?"

"Yeah...I will"

"Just wake me up if you need anything"

"Only when you will go to sleep can I wake you up besides I am not a kid Zach"

I then went to my bedroom and  didn't bother changing.As soon as I hit the bed I was in deep sleep.

*Zoe's POV*

What had happened to that serious Zach? Was this fun, creativity always in him? 

I loved spending time with him. He looked like a small cute kid while sleeping.

I just wished I wasn't getting wedded so that I could take a risk by asking him out once.But I guess destiny has something for us in our package.

I really never knew Zach could turn up to be sooo sweet. I must admit seeing him made me skip a heartbeat always.

Now when I remember all the old days I smile, we had soo much fun, a little kid new to a place finds a friend named Zoe and decides to stay beside her whenever she needs him while the girl imagines him to be her prince charming and waits for him to come on his magical horse and fly away with her.

I had to admit, he was adorable as eff. 

But he had this scar on his hand which revived old memories.... OLD BAD MEMORIES.

When we were in 4th standard, we used to walk back from the bus stop to our home together.

You see we lived in the same building. He and his family lived on the 8th floor while I and my family lived on the 14th floor and one day it happened so that the lifts were under servicing.So we decided to take up the stairs.

When we reached the 8th floor. I told him bye but he refused to go and said he would drop me home like how spider-man does. So we walked further. Nearly when we reached the 10th floor we heard a sudden blast sound and suddenly the fire alarm was put on. I trembled with fear, he too was scared but did not show. I still remember his exact words, " Dont worry Zoe..... Super Zach is here to save you."And trust me his voice was and still is the sweetest voice you would ever hear. He picked up my bag and hung it on his shoulder. Then we ran towards the ground floor.

While running down a pole on fire fell from the ceiling, that was the time that Zach came and pushed me thus causing the pole to fall on his hand causing the scar.

He had started bleeding terribly. I couldn't see it as I had never seen so much problem at once and I was merely a kid. To add to his problems I fainted.

When I woke up I was in my moms arms.I could see a lot of ambulances and all.

All of the residents had shifted to a place to live.

We had booked an hotel. When we checked in I remembered about Zach, I asked my mom how was he?

She had a sad look on her face, I was too scared and too small to understand what she meant. I started wailing and asked to meet him. She took me to the hospital and there I saw that he was lying down on a bed with all pipes around him. I didn't understand anything that was happening.

I went and sat next to him and held his hand. That is when he opened his eyes and gave me a smile and said "Super Zach saved you!" 

Now when I remember these things I still have tears in my eyes.

He had been brave since the start. I guess that was the point since when I started falling for him. He saved my life and I am ever so grateful to him. 

I really thank the god to send him in my life.

I, Zoe Nightshade have loved Zach Derrickson from the start and always will
