Chapter 4- I hear about an old friend

I picked up the call.

"Hey Zach, You got the package??"

She sounded soo excited. What was I to say?

"Zach!! Answer my question will you?"

"Zoe, I havent seen it yet."
I dont know how I managed to say this.

"You gotta be kiddin me. You were the first one to whom I sent the invites and you didnt even bother checking them?"

"Zoe, I am terribly stuck as the cab I was in has got a flat tire amist the traffic." I lied.

I felt like killing myself. This was the first ever time I lied to Zoe and trust me it did nkt feel good at all.

"Oh! Zach You Better reach home fast! I will be waiting!"

"Yeah.."

She disconnected the call.

I didnt even realise that Steve was with me all through the time and he had that IM SORRY look on his face.

We were in the office for another 5 minutes or so when Steve finally spoke up, " I think you should leave Zach."

"But what about the work?"

" I think I can buy us another day, But I dont want you to suffer just because of my fault"

"You know what I promise you that you will have the updated software by tommorow morning 10 AM."

"Thats what I like about you Zach. You never let me down."

"Ya ya now can I leave?"

"Yeah sure. Do you want me to drive you back to your apartment?"

"I'd really love that."

So Steve drove me back home and I was so happy that I finally made it.

First thing I did was I gave Zoe a call.

"Zach! Did you see it?"

"I just reached home Zoe and yeah I found it."

"OPEN IT!!!!!"

"Yeah Yeah"

Saying this I opened the package.

It read,

To Zach Derrickson! (ZACHIII)

"You couldnt resist yourself from writing that could you?"

"Nope I couldnt"

Zacchii was a name given to me by Zoe in high school during some stupid trek.

"Zoe Nightshade weds Luke Jr."

"Luke Jr?? That computer Geek! Thats him right?"

"Yeah..."

I bet she was blushin.

"Woahu Zoe! Nice! You loked him from the start ryt??"

"Shutup Zach! And yeah Luke too wants to meet you so you better attend the wedding!"

"I sure will!"

"Bye Zach, Love yaa"

"Bye Zoe, Enjoy with Luke"

*Disconnected*

Well, my friend was finally getting married. I should have been happy but I was tensed for her. Zoe was always a very shy girl and Luke was a more like an open book. I jut hope she would go off well with him.
