Chapter 27- I meet an idiot

I went in my room and lay in bed.......

Just then the fire alarms went on...............

I could hear people screaming and yelling and what not........

Zoe ran from her bathroom and came and hugged me, not out of love but out of fear.

"Hey Zoe, its a fire I think we should move instead of clinging on to each other."

"Fire? Oh okay,, Fire, yeah lets run!" she said with a puzzled look.

I was puzzled too.

"Not one day of rest for Mr.Zach" I mumbled to myself.

"C'mon Zach, I don't have any plans on burning myself."

We ran with all our might to find the elevator was not functioning.

GREAT!

We ran down the stairs all the way from the top  luxury room to the lobby down but surprisingly I couldn't seem to find any thing or any place at fire on my way down.

We reached the lobby tired and cold and just then we heard an announcement,

"THIS IS TO ANNOUNCE THAT THIS WAS A FALSE ALARM, I REPEAT FALSE ALARM. WE APOLOGIZE FOR THE  INCONVENIENCE "

"Wha...wha...what the actual fuck?"

I managed to scream out so loud that the manager noticed and he ran to me.

I wasn't pleased to see him.

"Dear Sir, We request you not to use any kind of swear words"

"Oh yeah? And why on earth would I listen to you/ Do you know how hard it is to walk ... oh sorry ....RUN DOWN FREAKING 40 floors ??"

"We apologize sir, But it was due to this small child who accidentally turned the alarm switch out of curiousness"

Saying this she put forward a young-sweet-cute-girl, roughly around 5-6 years. She looked like she had been crying and was busy eating a lollipop.

"I apologize Ms."

Zoe gave me a sudden look, seems like she did not expect me to apologize.

I really don't know why but that girl reminded me of young Zoe, sweet, innocent, cute and her eyes were exactly a replica of Zoe's.

Just then I heard a lady yelling "Zoe! Zoe! Zoe!"

Zoe and I exchanged looks and by her look I don't think she knew her.

The lady came running and was weeping along with a man following her {weeping too}.

The lady ran towards the little girl {still busy with the lollipop} and picked her in her arms and started thanking the manager.

This made it clear that the man and women were her parents.

"Your daughter is really adorable. Zoe? isn't it?"

"Oh yes dear! She went missing about 10 minutes ago and we were looking for her when we got a call from the reception"said the lady.

The man approached me, "Hello there uh..?"

"Zach"

"Hello there Zach, I am Stephen,  Robert's brother."

"Oh, Pleased to meet you"

"Robert is pretty determined on getting you to work for his company, why don't you join it?" 

This guy was pissing me off.But thank the lords he noticed Zoe.

"Oh I'm sorry Zach. You must be on a holiday with your wife, I should not talk business here"

The moment he told the word WIFE it made me and Zoe look at each other look at the speed of lightening.

For a moment, we locked our eyes and then looked away.{blushing}

"Mam's name?"he asked

"Zoe...Zoe Nightshade" 

"Oh wow! My daughter shares the same name too! That's a co-incidence! I hope she becomes as gorgeous as you in future darling" said the lady to Zoe.

"Mr.Stephen, it was nice meeting you. i think I will take a leave now."

"Oh yeah yeah! Its pretty late too, Bye Zach, Bye Zoe"

We left bidding our good-byes.

Just then I got an idea!
