"Who the hell are you?" I hissed and shot him my most venomous glare. My heartbeat beating faster as I can feel the way his arm wraps around my small waist.

I didn't like strangers and I couldn't figure out if he could be trusted. Xiphosumi is ready to kill.

"Can you stop looking at me like that?" He managed "I feel like I am being ripped inside."

He fell to his knees and clutched his fists on the grass, looking so pale and fragile. He looked like air was being sucked out of his body.

Because of that, I came back to my senses and my confusion got on my nerves.

I couldn't understand why everyone I glared at felt like that.

When I focused every attention that I still had, he began to look relieved and the color on his face came back as if nothing had happened. Maybe, the terror was gone or he simply overpowered it.

"Now, who are you?" I asked again as I stood behind him with Xiphosumi aiming at his neck.

"Gale" he replied in a serious tone.

"And what are you doing here?" Tightening my hand around my blade.

You better stop that or I will knock you out. He thought.

"What the hell, how can I hear you in my head?"

Then he laughed and I was caught off guard. As fast as the wind, he took my arm, almost dislocating my wrist and I dropped Xiphosumi. Afraid of what he might do next, I jump away to give us enough distance so I can see his next move.

Suddenly, in the corner of my eyes, I saw a lurking monster behind the nearest tree from where we were and shot it with my last dagger. It shrieked and in a matter of seconds, it disintegrated into ashes. On the other hand, I noticed that Gale was looking at me as if everything is normal.

Is he like me?

"Who are you?" I asked. But only silence replied.

I turned to him and added, "Do you know that it is very dangerous to wander here, especially when you are alone?"

"You should know that yourself," he replied in a casual way. I rolled my eyes and turn to leave.

I don't know who you are but I think he is a friend.

"Watch out!" He yelled and spun me around to dodge a couple of spikes that are aiming at me. It almost got me.

We lost our balance and he accidentally landed on top of me.

We locked our gazes for a moment before I felt embarrassed and pushed him away as hard as I could. I blushed for a moment and I knew that he didn't notice it because the smoke hid it perfectly behind its' thick silhouette.

The part of the tree where the spikes hit became weak until it turned into solid rock. When I look back to where Gale is, I see nothing but a pile of ashes that the wind starts carrying off until nothing is left behind.

A fierce wind blew my hair. I immediately tied it up to have a better view of things, especially on my battles, and reach for my Xiphosumi's hilt. It glows brightly around my palm as if it miss me. However, I felt a familiar feeling creeping under my skin: Danger.

Xiphosumi! I called in my head and a magnificent blade emerged proudly on its hilt.

However, the smoke grows thicker, making it hard to see my surroundings. I cover my nose to prevent the suffocating air from burning my lungs and start walking away from where I was.
