*NEXT DAY*
CAMRYN
I woke up in the morning, went to work, and got Jack a coffee. You know, the usual routine. And of course I ran into Grayson... Again. Why does this always happen?
"Hey again!" He laughs.
"Hi! Why do we always run into each other?" I ask with a laugh.
"Well i'll be honest I ran into you on purpose today... I wanted to talk to you about something." He starts.
"Go ahead." I say.
"Ok well i know we aren't like a couple or anything, but I just wanted to say... I just don't like you in that way. I think we should be friends and nothing more. I'm really sorry I just didn't want to lead you on and-" I cut him off.
"Grayson stop it's fine. We would be better as friends anyway and all that awkward flirting was super weird. besides I think I like someone else." I smile to myself.
JACK
So I'm just sitting in the section of my office with the security camera footage just minding my own business (Well not really but whatever) And I hear Camryn tell Grayson that she likes someone else?! I thought she liked me? She was just leading me on?!
I don't know who it is but I'm gonna pound their face in.
I'm pacing back and forth in my office when she walks in.
"Uh Jack? Are you okay?" She asks.
I'm not in the mood for this.
"I'm.Fine." I say through gritted teeth.
"Jack you are not fine. You can tell me, I won't tell." She says.
She is so sweet, but i'm mad at her... But she's so pretty, but she likes someone else. I don't know how to feel....
"Camryn we are co-workers not friends. I'm not going to sit around gossiping with you." I say and roll my eyes.
"I just thought-" she starts. I cut her off
"Ya ya I know what you thought. If you want someone to gossip with go talk to your crush." I say.
"What?! That's what your mad about? You mad about me liking someone?" She says raising her voice.
"YOU WERE LEADING ME ON CAMRYN! I THOUGHT YOU LIKED ME!" I yell.
"WELL IF YOU WEREN'T SPYING ON MY THIS WOULDN'T HAVE HAPPENED." She yells back.
I sigh.
"True." I mumble.
"Ok jack let's stop yelling at each other and talk like adults." She suggests.
I nod and we sit down at my desk.
"Why are you so mad that I said I like someone?" She asks.
Well... No escaping now. I take a deep breath.
"Because... I like you."
