Edward Watson

My mom still didn't trust him, even when I told her about my feeling. She told me that if he was going to stay here, they would have a long talk. This gave me hope.

"Whats your name?", my mother asked the stranger.

"Kent. Kent James."

"Do you mind answering a few questions?"

"So you still think I'm some type of criminal huh?" Kent replied with a flirty smirk on his face.

"Well, I suppose so." My mother smiled back.

Oh brother. Now was not the time for love. The world is ending and you're falling in love mom? Really?

"What job did you do before this?"

"I worked in the army. I was a commander-in-chief, but I mainly stayed in the U.S."

"Are you married?"

"Well lucky for you mam, I'm divorced."

I could sense my mother blushing. Then she started laughing. A good hearty laugh. I hadn't heard her laugh since Dad "died".

"Do you have any kids?"

"I have an 8 year old daughter that I haven't seen in 3 years. Don't know if shes alive though.."

"I'm sorry."

"No don't be. You didn't do nothin"

I took my brother and went towards the hallway on the right. We could probably find some bunkers or something to sleep in. I'd rather sleep any day than listen to my mom try at flirting. Besides, we haven't slept in 2 days.

The first door was a supply closet with boxes stacked up to the ceiling. It had a few tools and an office chair, but that wouldn't help.

The second room was a bathroom. Yes! My brother ran to the toile and pulled down his pants. Ew gross! I left the room.

All of the sudden, I remembered why Kent was here. I was going to ask him about my father.

I walked through the hallway towards my mom and Kent's flirtatious comversation🙄.

"Hey Kent. Um.. do you know who Edward Watson is by any chance?"

My mom rolled her eyes.

"Well yes, actually I do. That wicked man. Mr. Watson is the leader of this corporation. He is leading the ending of the world."
