Kelly's POV ~
Ever since Callum came to my house that day, he has been seeing Olivia more. They look kind of adorable together, it feels right even. Right now I am dressing her in a light blue and pink summer dress, it may be the cold season but surprisingly it's warm outside today. I hear a quiet tap on the door distracting me from my thoughts. I turn around and see my long lost mother standing in the doorway. She's been gone most of my life as she's always away on business but also if terrified if my real father was to return one day. Weird, I know.
"Can I help you?" I say in a slight sarcastic tone. I know she's my mother and that I should respect her no matter what and all that shit but she has never been in my life. All those play productions that was held at my school when I was younger, she never attended like a normal parent would. She's my mother and was supposed to be my role model but that ship has sailed and went down under like the titanic.
"Um. I just... I will be back only for 4 days, you have nothing to worry about. I won't be in your way. If you need me, I'll be in my room but it's not like you'll speak to me or even acknowledge my presence after this encounter...Bye" She quickly turned around and left the room in a hurry. Must've scared her. I'm fucking terrifying! No you're not. Ugh, how many times? Shut up!
I turn my attention back to my daughter and start putting on her white converse. So cute! "All done. Good girl. Wanna go see daddy today?" She enthusiastically nods her head. She's knows that Callum is her dad now, I know she's smart just like me. I pick her up and balance her on the side of my hip and walk out of her bedroom door all the way to the front doorway.Callum's POV ~
"What the fuck?! You can't just end it like that!!!" I was watching a movie, not really bothering to recall the title, and there was a plot twist at the end and now it just messed up the entire film. I watched that for two hours and that is reward I get for wasting two precious hours of my life.
I hear the doorbell ring and I feel confused. Why is someone here? Olivia is coming over in ten minutes, not now. I answered the door and was surprised to see Brittany there. All of a sudden, she forced her lips onto mine, kissing me greedily. I didn't kiss back as one, she isn't good at it and two, I know she's drunk as she got humped and dumped by one of the school players. She's so stupid.
I gently push her off me and told her to leave. "Brittany, you're drunk. Go home. I have Olivia coming over any minute now and also, you're not my type" She huffed in annoyance with her knowing that I was right and turned around and left. I closed the door and sat back down on one of the chairs in my living room. One minute later, my doorbell rang for the second time now but I knew it was Kelly and Olivia.~*Three Hours Later*~
Connor's POV ~
Why? Why him? He's got everything that I want with her and there's no doubt that she'll never be mine. I need to show her my affection, my love for her before he shows his. The best way to get her to see me is to call her cause I know she will never reply to my texts as I've tried before but also she answers the phone to anyone.
Kelly's POV ~
"Olivia! Put that down before Daddy comes back!" I shouted at my daughter, panicking that she was going to break the small glass ornament on the coffee table. She quickly is alert to my angered voice and puts it down straight away. Thank the Lord that it didn't break. As Callum walks back into the living room with food for Olivia from the kitchen, my phone rings. Wtf?? Why is he calling me this time?
"Sorry Callum, I'll be back in a few minutes. I have to take this call that's all" I say urgently without even making eye contact with him as my stare still lays upon the his name..
I quickly rush out of the living room and rush up the stairs into the bathroom where I know I won't be disturbed. I lock the door by turning the little latch on the doorknob and answer his call quickly before it goes to my voicemail.
"Connor what do you want? I'm kind of busy right now" I swear this better be good. I know right! Oh my life just fuck off back on your vacation.
"Kelly. Please don't leave me and go off with that scumbag. He's nothing but a jerk and is no good for you. Leave him and come with me. I absolutely love you and want to be with you for the rest of my life. Please leave him and come with me. We can get married, have our own place, raise Olivia and have even more kids! Please. I want you, I need you!! Hello, Kelly?? Helloo--" What in the actual fuck did he just say? I ended the call. I barely know him and most certainly am not prepared to start a life with anyone - especially him!
After 5 minutes of calming down, I unlock the bathroom door and remove myself from the quite spacious rectangular room and walk slowly down the hallway, down the stairs and back to where I belong.. With Callum. No, my daughter. I don't need a man in my life. Keep thinking that but soon you'll realise you need him. Whatever.
As i enter through the entryway into the living room, I see Olivia giggling at Callum while he's tickling her. They look so cute together. I decide not to disturb their fun and watch them some more. He stops tickling her and picks her up to sit on his lap as he sits down on the three-seater couch. She holds her grip on his finger and just stares at him as he smiles back at her. Such a beautiful moment. I know. I get my phone out from my pocket and take a picture of the moment but my flash draws the attention to my phone. Oh well, at least i caught it on camera.
"How long have you been standing there?" He asks shocked that I'm standing in the same room as them.
"Well, I did say I was going to be a few minutes.. Or did you forget that little detail?" I say while chuckling slightly. I move myself from the entryway to sit right next to them.
"I-I... Look Kelly. I miss us, like really bad. I hated how everything ended between us and I could never forgive myself for it. Please just think abo--"
"Shhh, Callum. Let's just enjoy this time together please. For the sake of our little girl.. Please?"
"..Fine"
