Nerves

Kate's POV

      It has been a few days since I last saw him and it has killed me. The softball team was given a few days breaks after our last game since we won (YAY), but that means that I have not been able to see Rick. It is on a rare occasion that I see him in the halls but, when I look at him he is never looking at me, so I don't bother saying anything. However, I think today is the day, I have softball practice and he has Track practice, so this is the day I face my fears and finally talk to the man of my dreams. I am currently sitting in fifth period, I have twenty mintues left until I get changed for practice. I think I am going to wait until the end of practice, I mean I may be sweaty, but so will he, and at least if things go south then I can just go home and drown in my sorrows, right? 

Rick's POV

      I know it has only been a few days since the last time I saw her, but it feels lie years, I feel so empty without her. I mean, I know we have never officially talked to one another, but I love just seeing her, it makes everything better. These past few days, while I was at track practice, I have not seen her or the softball team as a matter of fact. I don't think their season is finished yet, the last time I heard, they were at their semi-final game, and I was going to go see it, I really was, but then I got nervous and backed out, I just didnt want it to be awkward or to be ignored. I saw her in the hall the other day, but she was not even looking at me, she was talking to one of her friends, I guess I don't even exist to her. She means everything to me, but I mean absolutely nothing to her. I want to talk to her, I do, I just don't know how to approach her or what to say. Even if she does have practice today, I think I am just going to give her some space, I don't want her to feel as if I have been waiting for her to come back and creep out. There goes the bell, I better get ready for track practice. 

World POV

      As the bell rang for dismissal hundreds of students poured out the school doors, while the track and softball team got changed and prepared for their practices. With Rick and Kate both getting changed, they never thought that this day would change their lives forever.
