Chapter 60

*two days later*

Something was bothering Harry.

Ever since our date he's been distant from me. Not kissing or hugging me as often. He insists everything is fine but I know there is more to it than just that.

We're on a plane now, off to our last stop on this tour, Venice. I was practically pissing my pants in excitement, and the pain in my side decreases every day. Harry sat next to me staring out the window while I chatted with Niall excitedly about different types of Italian foods and our mission to try as much of it as we could.

Harry sighed next to me so I broke out of my conversation with him to look at Harry.

"You okay?"

He flashed me a weak smile. "Yeah." He looked back out the window, dismissing me. I looked back at Niall, who was watching Harry thoughtfully. I sent him a worried glance and he shrugged.

"Switch seats with me." He mouthed. I nodded and we both stood up. Harry didn't even look up. I bit my lip stepping across the narrow pathway, plopping next to Liam.

"Ello!" He chirped. I ignored him, just leaned my forehead against the seat in front of me, closing my eyes. What did I do wrong?

"Something you wanna talk about?" Liam asked gently. I turned my head to look at him. I hesitated then nodded, laying my head in his lap. He smiled down at me, lightly brushing the hairs out of my face as I told him what was going on. When I mentioned the part about Harry telling about Michael's lock up, he cut in.

"Wait, back up. What did you say when he told you about your saftyness?"

"I said Michael wouldn't give up."

"And he said?"

"He reassured that I was safe now no matter what. I believe him."

Liam nodded thoughtfully. "Have you two talked about it since then?"

"Did you see him? He won't even look at me, much less talk to me. I don't know what I did wrong."

Liam leaned over and kissed my forehead. "You didn't do anything wrong. He's just hurt, that's all."

"I hurt him? How? By worrying?"

He nodded. "He thinks you don't believe that your safe. That he can't protect you."

I gasped. "That's rediculous."

"I know, but that's how I would feel too. Deep down, I know he doesn't actually believe that. It's just his insecure mind playing tricks on him."

"What do I do now?"

He glanced at Harry, who was looking out the window while Niall talked to him. "Talk."

"Did you not hear when I said that he will not speak to me?"

He chuckled. "Do I hear Nour Miller going down without a fight? Are you giving up?!"

I giggled. "No sir!" I saluted. He high-fived me and reached into his pocket, grabbing his iPod. He handed one earpiece to me, then put the other in his own ear. He selected his own quiet playlist, then leaned back and closed his eyes.

"Danielle is lucky to have you." I mumbled. His eyes shot open and he took the earpiece out.

I just remembered I haven't spoken to him about her yet.

"What?"

"Uh yeah."

"What do you mean?"

"Well I'm pretty sure she likes you."
