Here's the new chapter!
____________________________________________________________________________________
Recap: the car slowly stopped and i look out the window. we were in front a giant house or mansion i should say. i stare at it, slightly intimidated by how large it was. The car slowly comes to a stop and we get out. This place was pretty nice, maybe they wouldn't find me here...but maybe they would.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I stare at the house before someone clears their throat. i look at Charles and Erik, before seeing another guy beside them, he's quite nerdy and scrawny looking.
"I'm Dr. Hank McCoy" Hank said.
i put my guard up, i didn't trust doctors, I've met the nastiest. I know I shouldn't judge him, but I can't help it.
"Kassidy Allen" i said nodding at him.
"you never told us your name" Charles said.
He looked slightly hurt and Erik raised an eyebrow at him. i just turn back to Hank and nodded. i look back up to the school and hummed.
"so, how many students are actually here?" i asked.
"well, there's me, Erik, Hank, Sean, Alex, and Raven, but she's not here at the moment" Charles said.
"All boys?" i asked raising an eyebrow.
Charles frowned, then slowly nodded his head at me.
"if you don't mind me asking, where's your things? or are you homeless?" Hank asked nervously.
Erik and Charles stare at him, then me, like the idea never popped into their mind that i could be homeless, did i look homeless? maybe.
"i am, but i do have stuff" i said shrugging.
"well, i can run and get it for you" Hank said raising an eyebrow at me.
"no, it's fine, I'll just get it another time" i said.
"alright" Hank said nodding.
we walked up the steps, this place was really pretty. Charles opened the door and i thanked him. we walked in and the place was beautiful. Two boys were playing ping pong, while arguing. i raised an eyebrow and Erik rolled his eyes.
"Boys" Erik said.
They didn't listen and i look at them amused. He sighed and put his fingers to his forehead. The boys stopped and they looked at us. They both checked me out and i raise an eyebrow at them, i was at least five years older then him.
"Sean, Alex, this is our new student, Kassidy" Erik said.
"oh cool, what can you do?" Sean asked.
"she'll need a nickname" Alex said.
I raise an eyebrow at them and turned invisible. i sat down on the couch and reappeared. they looked at me and Sean smiled wide.
"that's so cool!" Sean shouted.
"invisible girl" Alex said cheekily.
"she has another mutation, she won't show us though" Erik said.
"two, actually" Charles said.
"show us!" Sean said excitedly.
i nervously gave them a look and saw a book and i brought it towards me. i grabbed it and they seem surprised.
"Telekinesis" Charles said nodding.
"so you're like Xavier?" Charles said.
"no...similar" i said nodding.
"no, i can use Telekinesis also, i just usually read minds" Charles said.
"oh" i said nodding.
"what's your other power?" Hank said.
"I'd rather not say, not until you can trust me and i can trust you and we're good friends" i said.
"did she just friend zone all of us?" Sean whispered.
i look amused and the boys all stared at each other, were they actually taking this serious? I shook my head and yawn.
"you must be tired, I'll show you your room" Charles said.
the other guys looked annoyed and i rolled my eyes, they really had no reason to argue who shows me where i sleep, it sounds idiotic. I follow Xavier up the stairs and he smiles at me.
"sorry about them" Charles said.
"they're fine" i said.
"so...you're homeless? why? if you don't mind me asking" Charles said.
"well, uh, i ran away" i said, half telling the truth.
"why? did your parents not accept your special abilities?" Charles asked.
"...they never treated me normal once they found out" i said.
"really? what age did they develop?" Charles asked.
"Age six...my parents had sent me to live with my aunt" i said nodding.
"that's horrible, I'm sorry" Charles said.
"you're fine..." i said slowly.
It was an awkward silence and i look at all the paintings on the wall. They were old and could be worth some money if you sold them to the right person.
"you were, uh, intimidated by Hank, can i ask why?" Charles asked.
"let's just say, my aunt was a cruel woman who wanted to see if i could be human again" i said softly.
"really?" Charles asked.
"yeah" i said nodding.
"that's horrible...you know, i can sense your presence but I can not read your mind" Charles said.
"really?" i asked frowning.
"yes, it's odd, if you don't mind, and you'll probably hate me, but i would like Hank to give you a physical, we'll all be there with you if that helps" Charles said.
"i wouldn't mind" i said.
"alright" Charles said nodding.
Charles stopped outside a door and opened it. It was a small room, light gray blue. it was actually a perfect fit for me, I don't have a lot of stuff, so this would work lovely.
"sorry it's so small, we're still redoing the other bedrooms" Charles said.
"actually, it's perfect, if you don't mind, I'd like this to be my room" i said.
"sure, go right ahead" Charles said smiling.
"do you think tomorrow i could to go get my things?" i asked.
"if you don't mind bringing someone with you...if you do not mind" Charles said.
"...okay" i said nodding.
"alright, then, I'll leave you to it then" Xavier said.
He closed my door and i sat on my bed and stared out at the pouring rain on the window, so this was my new home? hmmm.
