Hey guys!!!!

recap: He gave me the blanket back and left to go bring my clothes back. I close my eyes and attempt to relax, but i know there's no way I'd be able to do that.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
i was now in my room, tugging on my sleeve, nervous habit. i stare outside, it was softly raining, making my eyes water. I heard a soft knock on the door and i stood up. i open it and Charles was there, holding a platter of food.
"you missed lunch" Charles said.
"oh" i said softly.
i open the door wider and he walked in, setting it down on my desk. i nervously stare outside, usually when it rained, I'd have to go out there and fight lightening.
"so...how long have you had...those?" Charles asked.
I raise an eyebrow at him, not really sure if he was talking about the scars or something else.
"well...there's many, are you talking about the bad ones on my back or all of them?" i asked.
"...all of them" Charles said.
"well, it started when i was six" i said.
"When did it stop?" Charles asked.
"less then a year" i said.
"how did it happen?" Charles asked.
"i told you about my aunt" i said.
Charles opened his mouth then closed it. He seems like he doesn't know what to say, not much of a shock on my part.
"is there anything else you needed?" i asked.
"yes, i wanted to talk about training, to train your mind" Charles said.
"train my mind? i think I'm pretty skilled at that" i said.
"yes, but there is improvement in it, i see it as an opportunity, we both are good with our minds, i believe that if we train harder, we could be the best minds in the world. so I'd like to train you, if you wouldn't mind" Charles said.
"...alright" i said nodding.
"great, then tomorrow morning we'll start" Charles said.
"okay" i said nodding.
Charles stood up, dusting his shirt off and left , closing the door behind him. i sat back down on my bed and took a piece of toast and nibbled on it. i stare outside, it was raining pretty hard outside. I wonder if i should go outside...it i just won't use my powers this time.
i open my window and climbed through it, not caring about the rain soaking me. i was on the second story, great. my bare feet are kinda slipping against the roof, great. I slid down the roof and stopped at the ledge. I carefully jumped down and landed gracefully on the ground. i began walking, softly humming to myself. I laid down and i closed my eyes.
flashback
"my pet, you've done quite the job with your powers, but now...i want to step it up a bit, no?" Dr. Honz asked.
"with what?" i asked quietly.
"combat, please, do come in, Victor" Dr. Honz said.
A man walked in and i look at the man, not sure if i should feel intimidated or not. He walked up to us and nodded at Dr. Honz.
"hello Dr. Honz, is this her?" Victor asked.
"yes" Dr. Honz said.
"do you have a name kid?" Victor asked.
"experiment 080197" i said.
"Kassidy will do just fine" Victor said.
"K...Kassidy?" i mumbled.
"perfect name!" Dr. Honz said happily.
"it means the clever one, the one with twisted locks" Victor said.
I feel my cheek redden and Dr. Honz clapped her hands and set them firmly on my shoulders. Her nails digging into my shoulders, making me flinch slightly.
"now, come Victor, let me show you your room, Kassidy, meditate" Dr. Honz said.
"yes, ma'am" i said quietly.
Dr. Honz let go of my shoulders and walked away, Victor looked at her retreating figure and give me a look. I'm not sure what it means, I've never really been alone with a male before.
"how old are you, kid?" Victor asked.
"about sixteen, sir" i said.
"call me Victor when she isn't around, i won't tell" Victor said winking.
I slowly nodded, confused at why he had winked at me, was there something in his eye? he patted my head and walked out of the room.
end flashback.
I open my eyes to rain stopping, but i could still hear it. I look up at Erik, who was holding up a giant umbrella above us.
"yes?" i asked.
"you'll get a cold" Erik said.
"no, i don't think i will, i have a strong immune system" i said.
Erik raised an eyebrow at me, but nodded his head. A chair suddenly came over and he sat next to me. He stuck the umbrella into the ground and relaxed. I stare at him, then look at the sky, closing my eyes.
"i found out about my mutation in the rain" Erik said.
i look at him confused and slowly nodded my head. He pushed his hair back, it was getting pretty long.
"the Nazis were separating my parents and i, and i lost it, i bent the metal gates, they ended up knocking me out, i was used by this man named Sebastian Shaw, he killed my mother right in front of my eyes, i was around ten" Erik said.
"why are you telling me this?" i asked confused.
"because we're alike, you and i, we've been hurt, so tell me your life story now" Erik said, slightly playful if i do say so myself.
"i was around five when i got my mind abilities...my parents kept my for a year before selling me to this French Doctor...i was trained in combat, i know almost ten languages, and i was forced to deflect lightening when it rained" i said quietly.
I told him all this because he told me his life story, so i thought I'd share mine, it seems like fair game right now, at least in my book. Erik pulled something out of his pocket and i raise an eyebrow at him. a coin floated i front of my face and i lightly touch it.
"it's important" i said softly.
"that is the coin Shaw made me try to move before he killed my mother...i couldn't move it" Erik said.
"I'm sorry" i whispered.
"you're fine...honestly...as they say, what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger, no?" Erik asked quietly.
"i suppose you're right" i said.
"the rain...you enjoy it?" Erik said.
"ironically i do" i said softly.
"then, cheers to the rain" Erik said softly.
Tada! a little Erik bonding time...i think I'll do that with most of them, make them closer to Kassidy... but should we talk about romance or wait? it'll be a few chapters before all the Shaw drama is here, just to warn you, and remember, it's not really following the story like to a "T"
