Recap: Then there's the issue with Erik, which I'm not too fond of even talking to him. I have a confession to make, they lied, about the baby i gave birth to. I know it's alive still, but i have no idea where it's at. I have idea what it's gender is, they took him/her away when i gave birth. I can't tell Erik that...at least i don't think i can. what would he think? This was way too confusing if you ask me.

Charles' POV
We were waiting "patiently" in the study, waiting for Hank to come back and tell us the news. Erik was staring blankly at his coin, not really here with us. I don't blame him. He apparently has an unknown history with Kassidy, has an unborn child, they grew up together...supposedly. Something was off, I just need to figure out what.
"what's taking so long?" Alex asked nervously.
Poor boy, he still blames himself for making Kassidy run away. But i do agree with him, some of the blame is on him. If he had never hurt Kassidy's feelings, then she wouldn't have ran away. Raven was tapping her foot impatiently, for some odd reason, Raven had a liking to Kassidy, like an older sister kind of protectiveness. Sean was reading a comic book, trying to keep himself entertained. Sean... he's been awfully quiet. I think we're all shocked at what we saw at that place.
Hank walks in, holding a clip board. We all stood up, waiting patiently for him to speak. Hank's eyes ran over the clip board, as if to double check something.
"Kassidy...she's perfectly fine" Hank said.
"what do you mean perfectly fine? we saw what happened, she can't just be...fine" Raven said frowning.
"look at these x-rays" Hank said.
He held two, one was of a shattered arm, the other was a perfectly healed arm. I raise an eyebrow at him, not quite understanding, where these both Kassidy's?
"these are thirty minutes apart, her arm is perfectly healed, there's no sign of it being shattered...she's perfectly healthy" Hank said, trying to explain.
"that doesn't make sense" Alex said frowning.
"...have you guys ever heard of Captain America?" Sean asked.
"no...?" Erik asked.
"he's a super soldier, based off a true story, i assure you, I've read all his comics...what if they gave the same thing they gave to Captain America? Super soldier serum?" Sean asked.
We gave him a look, was he serious? I know Sean is only a kid, but i wish he'd take this more serious, can't he see something is oddly wrong with Kassidy?
"Actually, Sean Explain more to me about this" Hank said.
"are you serious?" Raven asked frowning.
"He could be on to something" Hank said.
i sigh, this was useless, we were better off trying to fix her then listen to Sean babble on about Captain America. Hank walked back into the infirmary room to try and get a blood sample from her.
"so what now?" Alex asked.
"we find Shaw" Erik said frowning.
He was right, it was by time we ended this, once and for all. Kassidy and Erik's pain is because of it. I nod my head in agreement.
Kassidy's POV
I stare blankly at the wall, not in a crazy sort of way, no, more as in a....examining. I can see dust particles, quite interesting actually. I've never seen something so...so miraculous. I move my hand in front of my sigh and stare at it, surprised. I can see the cracks in my skin, the small, but clear wrinkles on my knuckles. My nails, what's under them. I hear steps and i look at the door. I hear the foot steps stop and the slick of the handle, the handle moving down. I can hear the squeaks in the hinges as the door opens.
Hank walks in, fixing his glasses. his eyes, I've never realized, but they're a pretty blue. i can see the pores in his skin, the hair on his arms, each little hair on his head. His glasses need cleaning, soon, might i add. I can see they're slightly smudged.
"Kassidy, are you okay?" Hank asked softly.
"you need to clean your glasses, they have smudges on them" i said.
"you...you can see that close?" Hank asked slowly.
He walks towards me and i stare at him, searching his eyes. he holds my face in both hands. he smells like chemicals, oddly i like that smell.
"everything's enhanced" i whispered.
"everything?" Hank asked.
"yes...i can see the little freckles you have, i can smell the chemicals on you, i can hear the beat of your heart...everything" i said.
"unbelievable...i would like to take some blood, if you don't mind" Hank said.
I nod my head and Hank starts setting it up, getting the needle, the sanitary wipes, everything. i lean back, trying to relax. Hank carefully stuck the needle into my arm, drawing blood. i stare at the blood in fascination. i can see the cells, the blood particulars, the blood moving.
"i can see the blood cells" i whispered.
Hank looks amazed at me and puts a bandage on my arm, so the blood wouldn't come out. he puts the needle somewhere and i look at the ceiling.
"Hank...remember when you smelt the blood when i hurt myself?" i asked.
"yes" Hank said.
"what if...what if that's what they did, maybe I'm part beast?" i asked, glancing at him.
I hear his breath hitch and his heart beat start up. I look at him, he's surprised, i suppose he never considered that fact, that i could be part animal.
