Second Chance ~5sos~ (under editing)

chapter 5-

As soon as he asked I spaced out.
What the hell? I don't even know him.
I don't even know his mum.
I've only just met him.
Is this a good idea?
Do I want to do it?

"Yes" I said before thinking "Really?" he asks "Did I say that out loud" I say
"Yes you did and do you mean it?" he asks "I don't know" I answer, I did want to get to know him better but I just wish it wasn't so far away "Just come and stay over a couple nights than you can decide...please I really want to get to know you" he says with an excited tone "Fine... when?" I ask with a straight face "It's not like I have a parent telling me what to do" I just went blank, I cant believe I said that, what was I doing.

"Um how about when we are done we can go" he says "Um this soon" I ask shocked "Yeah lives short we both know that nothing like the present" Andy explains "Yeah I get that but I don't know its just really soon... I still have to do dads funeral" I say
"Well we can plan it over the phone and I will bring you back down how does that sound?" he asks "I guess yeah it sounds ok... will you be ok?" I ask looking to Troian "Yeah I will be fine go" she reply's and I just smile at here

20 minutes later

We drive into the driveway after an awkward drive home. We hardly talked; the only time we did was when I was telling him to turn left or right. I get my keys out and after the 3rd key I tried I finally got it I opened the door Andy and Troian following me inside "You can sit there if you want" I say pointing to the couch "And there is some drinks in the fridge if you want one"

I started to pack than I saw Luke leaning against the doorframe "So are you nearly ready it's a long drive back?" Andy asks " I've been in here for like half an hour hold your horses" I say looking back at my bag "Oh that's all I thought it was longer" he says with a little chuckle "Here don't forget this" Troian says handing me my laptop charger "Yeah I can't forget that" I say as I take it and put it in my bag

15 minuets later

"I'm ready" I say putting my phone in my pocket and picking my pillow up and walking to the front door, But Luke wasn't in the living room "Luke" I call out "Coming" I hear him say then see him walk out of dads room "Have a good look?" I ask, "Oh sorry I just..." "No no it's fine" I interrupted "So are you ready to go?" Luke asks, "Yeah I think so" I say back "Ok I will meet you in the car" Luke says walking out the front door

"Hey I'm going to miss you this is the last thing I want to do right now is leave the one person I trust" I say walking up to Troian "It's going to be good trust me the people you need to be with at a time like this is with family even if you have only known them for like a couple seconds" she says leaning in for a hug "Yeah that's true I'm going to miss you and please tell your mum I said she can stay for a couple days to look after the house and tell her thanks for everything I will keep you updated"

"Hey everything alright" Luke asks as I get in the car "Yep...let's go" I say then he starts the car, I wave at Troian as Andy pulls out of the drive way already felling home sick and like I wanted to cry I turn my head to look out the window so Luke wouldn't see me

About 5 minutes of silence Luke decides to speak "So how are you feeling?" "Weird" I say looking his way "oh whys that?" he asks as he gives me a quick glance then looks back at the road "Well I'm in the car with a total stranger going to stay over his house, the only thing I know about you is your first and last name" I say looking out of the window again "That's right I keep forgetting you don't really know anything about me and it's not my fault you never knew about me I always asked our dad to tell you I really wanted to meet you but he said you were in a bad place...what was the bad place?" he asks
"I don't really feel comfortable talking about it" I say getting my earphones out of my pocket and plugging them into my phone "Yeah good idea have a nap it's a long drive" and then I put my ear phones in and played the first song, I don't know how long after that but I drifted off to sleep.

Now I'm being woken up by Luke pushing my shoulder "Hey wake up do you want something to eat and or go to the toilet?" Luke asks "Yeah um just a large cheese burger meal... got to have the large fries" and he just laughs "And I'm just going to go to the toilet"

I walk into the bathroom and when I'm done I wash my hands and I just looked at myself in the mirror for a few seconds well it was probably more than that because I snapped out of it by Luke banging on the door asking if I was in here. I wiped the few tears that had fallen down my face and walked out.

"Come on let's go" I say walking straight past him not looking at him "Have you been crying?" he asks "Yes" I reply
"Hey it's going to be ok you have me now" he says following me to the car "Yeah I have you now but you can never replace dad or the life I already have it may be a shit one but it's what I have and I'm happy with that" I yelled at him.

We got into the car and he handed me my meal and he started the car. Not saying a word he pulls out onto the road "Hey I'm sorry I didn't mean to yell at you I'm really trying trust me... it's just a little hard" he just looks at me and smiles. We still have 2 hours of driving to do and it is going to be a long 2 hours I thought to myself.

Those 2 hours past quicker than what I thought and before I knew it we where there the house were I was staying for a couple nights. I took of my seatbelt, hopped out of the car, walked up to the door Luke helped me with my stuff and I just stood staring at the door.
