Chapter 3
Kallie's POV

Me and Caroline are back in the car on our way to starbucks. there was this uncomfertable silence. the only sound you could hear was the radio. i don't know how much longer i could take this silence. "are you ok?" i asked caroline. "yea, im just trying to wrap my head around all of this." she said. "i know. it's a lot to take in." i said. "its just we have been unseperable since 6th grade!" caroline said. "i know. but claire is nice enough to where i'm sure she will let you visit whenever you want." i said. "yea. maybe." caroline said. after that we rode the rest of the way in somewhat of a comfertable silence.

10 minutes later

I just got finished telling Jake, Jason, and one of our closer friends Megan about the whole moving situation. "wow. that's rough" jake said. "i know. even though washington is like a 3 hour flight, it will seem like i am soo far from you guys." "well you will be thousands of miles from malibu." jason said. "really. i didnt know that." megan said. haha. see this is what i will miss. just being able to say whatever when i'm around them. i will definantly miss jake. i have only told caroline about this but, i started liking jake this year. i haven't said anything because we are like family. why make things awkward? "well, since your leaving i say we all come over to your house when your parents leave to hang out before you leave." megan said. "that sounds good." i said. "what time do your parents leave?" jason asked. "well they should leave the house around 8:45." so ya'll can come around noon. since my plane leaves at 7:30 the cab will be at my house at 6:00." i say. "i think this calls for a sleepover!" i said. "oh you know i'm down for that! lets go short shorts and sports bras!" jake shouted. oh gosh. "as fun as that sounds, i think you and jason will have to come over tomorrow. we can do that another time." i winked. "oh don't worry, when you come back we'll have plenty of time to do that." he winked back. oh gosh. why did he have to be my best friend? with those big brown eyes. oh. i'm staring. i hope he doesn't notice.

Jake's POV
Why? why does kallie have to be so beautiful? i have a girlfriend but she makes it so hard to be faithfull. my girlfriends name is grace. she is pretty. but she is nothing compared to kallie. i am only going out with grace because i can't have kallie. my friends don't even know i'm dating grace. i was going to tell them at starbucks, but kallie's news was more important. i guess i will tell them over kallie's house later. i can't believe she is leaving. i will have to find a way to visit her. i hope this time goes by fast.
