The Matthew's chapter 6

Caroline's POV:

it was 5:45. in about an hour my best friend would be leaving me for up to a year. i can't make it without her. we have been so close for so long, i can't imagine her not being by my side. i can't imagine how she feels about leaving jake. they haven't called it this, but they are basically a couple. all day they have been cuddling on the couch, jake occasionally whispering things in kallie's ear, making her giggle. jake just can't seem to keep his hands off of her. me and jason are getting closer. he will sometimes just kiss me randomly. i really like him. kallie came and waved her hand in my face. "earth to caroline." kallie said. i lifted my head off of jason's shoulder, "sorry, what did you say?" i asked. "i asked if you could come up and help me bring down my stuff before the cab gets here." she said again. i nodded and stood up. when we got in kallie's room she closed the door. i turned around and she came and gave me a hug. we stayed hugging for what seemed like hours. when we let go i had to wipe away tears i didn't even realize were there. "i am going to miss you so much!" i said. "i will miss you even more. i might even be a little jealous of u." kallie said smirking. "what why?" i asked. "because you will be home, with everybody, while i'm in washington having to make a whole bunch of new friends." kallie said. "well it won't be the same here without you." i said. kallie smiled

Kallie's POV

i know i shouldn't be suprised, but i am really happy that caroline will miss me so much. it's good to know that our friendship has meant as much to her as it has for me. "can i ask you something?" i asked. "anything!" caroline said. i took a breath. "can you just tell me i jake starts to see anybody? we already said that when i leave, we will just be friends. we can do our own thing, with other people. when i get back, if we still have feelings for each other, then we can see if we can be a couple." i said. "so you just want me to tell you if he starts seeing someone, only beccause you want to see if he was going to tell you if he got in a relationship." caroline said understanding. i nodded my head. this is why we're best friends, we know each other so well. "of course i will watch him. you know being nosey is my specialty." caroline said smiling. "thank you." i said smiling as we walked back down the stairs. i walked in the kitchen and heard a BEEP BEEP. that mean that the cab is here. "guys, the cab is here, lets go outside. i said. after we put everything in the trunk we all started getting into the cab. i noticed that christian wasn't in the cab. "can you hold on for one minute?" i asked the cab driver. he nodded his head so i got out the car. "hey christian!" i yelled. he stopped walking and turned to face me. "where are you going?" i asked. "there wasn't enough room in the cab and i know that we aren't as close as everyone else so i'm just leaving." christian said. i felt really bad. "just because we aren't as close, that doesn't mean that we aren't friends." i said. i walked over to him and gave him a hug. when i let go i looked him in the eyes and said,"when i get back you and megan better be dating." i walked away waving at him and smiling. when i got into the cab, i had to squeeze into the back. i got comfortable, or as comfortable as i would get and we headed to the airport.
