"Okay, let's go we have people waiting hon!" Sammy exclaimed, before beginning to walk down the steps. I followed close behind and she grabbed her skateboard that she had laid beside the door in advance. We walked out the door and put our boards down. We came out of the driveway and that's when I noticed what Sammy was wearing. She had a black studded bralette, a pair of regular black converse, and a hot pink high-waisted circle skirt. His tan skin paired nicely with her light brown hair. She was so pretty.
"Sammy, how many people go to the skate park?'
"Well, tonight since it's Friday, everybody," she said, looking back at me.
With a smile on my face, I'm thankful I put on a pair of booty shorts so people can't see my underwear.
We turned one last corner, and I saw it. Teenagers were lined all around the edges. Skaters were practicing and music was blaring. This was heaven. Sammy road right into the middle like she owned the place. She waved me over and I did the exact same thing. Everybody was staring, some whispered. A group of girls came over to us.
"This is Lucy guys!" She yelled over the music. "Lucy this is Kate, Hannah, and Tiffany!" Yelling a little louder. Kate had brown hair and pale skin. Hannah had red hair and tan skin, while Tiffany had blonde hair and tan skin.
"Hi!' I waved at them and they all smiled and returned with a chorus of heys, hi, and 'sups'.
"Let's go, I wouldn't want to miss any fun!" Sammy said winking at all of us. What does she mean by that? Whatever. We all skated to a group of people. Heys and sups were exchanged, and that's when one person noticed me. One person that caused everybody to freeze. He made his way through the crowd and stopped right in front of me.
"Whos this?" He asked nobody answered. Why was I so scared of him?
"Who is this?" he boomed.
"That's Lucy, Ashton. Don't be a jerk." Sammy spoke up for me. A smirk grew on his lips.
"Well Lucy, you don't come here, and not skate. So let's see you skate, shall we?" at that, a few guys put down their boards and started to do tricks on the structure. I stayed still.
"Come on, show us what you got," Ashton said, standing not even an inch away.
I put my skateboard down, but before I could go Ashton grabbed my arm.
"One more thing" he said, as he leaned in a half-inch away from my face. Was he gonna kiss me? I didn't know how to kiss. We were almost touching noses when he screamed "LIghts off!" Was I supposed to skate in the dark? "Break a leg." He said releasing my arm.
I closed my eyes and put one foot on the skateboard. I opened my eyes and they quickly adjusted.
I took a deep breath and started skating.
Crash!
What was that?
Crash!
Ow! What was that? The familiar pain of glass cutting me made me realize what I was hearing. People were throwing beer bottles at me. I jumped up onto a railing, and that's when a bottle full of beer hit me in the side of the head. I went flying down a six-foot drop. I hit the ground with a thud. I heard whispers that seemed so distant.
"Turn the lights on now!" I heard Ashton scream as I drifted off into a much needed sleep.

"Turn lights on now!" Ashton boomed.
"God Ashton! This is all your fault!" I yelled pushing him out of the way. I knelt down beside her.
The lights flickered on and I saw Lucy bleeding.
"Ashton, she's bleeding, a lot!" I yelled, tears in my eyes. Ashton shoved me out of the way and picked her up bridal style. "Everybody move" he yelled as he ran through the crowd to his car. I ran after him and got in the backseat with Lucy. He turned on his flashers and drove off.
"Ashton, where are you taking her?" I said, my voice cracking.
"Home," he said quietly
The car came to a stop, and I looked out the window to see our house. Ashton flung open the door, and picked her up, carrying her inside. I ran after them. The front door slung open, and there my dad was standing, angry and holding a first aid kit. Dad to the rescue. Ashton's gonna get it.
