I walked up the drive way stunned. That's the only way I knew how to describe this particular feeling.
Five more steps and I'll be at the door. Only five more.
Four.
Three.
Two.
One.
I stood there, starring at the door, that was far to big.
The first time I pulled up to this very house it had looked enchanting, but now- now it mad me feel wary.
I closed my eyes when my hand found the handle on the door. Do I want to do this?
Yes.
No.
Maybe?
Ugh! Why can't I just go in? Because I didn't want to face Ashton after spending time with Rydon, why? I have absolutely no clue.
Just as that thought ran through my head the door was pulled open.
My hand slipped off the door knob. I looked down at my hand, and then back up to the person who had pulled the door open.
Of course, just the person I didn't want to see.
"Lu." He said his voice soft, and a small smirk on his lips.
"Just don't." I pushed past him beginning to march up the stairs.
My feet were disabled when he grabbed my hand. Once again, I was frozen. Frozen in place. All because of him. Why? I have absolutely no clue."Lu, what happened? Why didn't you ride home with Sammy?"
"Nothing, Rydon brought me home." I mumbled, not necessarily want him to know I had been spending time with him. Again, I have zero clue.
However, he clearly heard it, causing his entire physique to change.
He cleared his throat, making me hold my breath.
"I see." He dropped my hand. His face was cold, and I suddenly missed his warm smirk. "and?"
"And what?" I questioned stepping down a step so I was on his level.
He gave me a look I couldn't really tell what it was so I looked at the ground trying to peice it together in my head. "What did he do to you? Lucy? What did he do to you?" At this he took my wrist again, examining them intently.
"Nothing Ashton, he didn't do anything. Why do always assume that he did something? What about all the times you caused me harm? Did you know he doesn't ever assume the worst for you? Did you know that he doesn't have to ask me fifty questions after every time i'm around you?"
He looked at me almost fuming, some how. No matter how long my eyes searched his, his feelings were a mystery to me. "Maybe its because I'm not like him, maybe its because I'm not dangerous. Maybe its because I wouldn't ever lay a hand on you. What did he say? Why did you ride home with him? What took you so long?" His voice cracked a bit, and I searched his face one again.
"Lay a hand on me?." I scoffed "Why would he lay a hand on me? What makes you think he would? We went and got some pretzels from The Giant Pretzel." I laughed a bit at the creativity of the name.
"Did you have fun?"
"Of course, I shrugged."
He took a small step back.
"Did he make a move?" He scoffed crossing his arms over his chest.
"N-o, not really." I blushed looking at the floor.
