Familiar Darkness (Sequel to Brothers Again)

Chapter Six

Danny flew down near his friends. "Need any help?" He laughed. Robin smirked at his brother. Happiness filled him just by standing near the brother he thought he'd never see again. "Danny does this guy have any weaknesses?" Robin asked. "I don't know, last time I beat him I used my ghostly wail and then trapped in the Fenton thermos. But I don't have a thermos to trap him this time!" Danny said. "Well can't you use your ghostly wail to at least weaken him?!" Robin asked. "I can try!" Danny said as he flew up to the older ghost. He took in a deep breath as he prepared his attack. Dan turned around and grabbed him by the throat. Danny let out a few choked gasps. He looked up at the older ghost. A look of shock and pain covered his face. Dan smirked at him. "You really think I wouldn't have prepared for the attack that trapped me the last time." He laughed. Danny only coughed in response. "You know you're becoming quite a nuisance. Perhaps I should just get rid of you now." Dan said as he raised his glowing fist up to Danny's face. A whimper of fear left Danny's lips. Suddenly a birdarang flew past Dan's arm causing him to release Danny. The weapon left a cut on the older ghost's arm. Green ectoplasmic blood leaked out of it. Dan grabbed his arm and glared at Robin. Danny fell to the ground coughing and breathing heavily. "I'm not loosing him again!" Robin shouted as he ran over to help his brother. "Thanks." Danny said weakly as he looked up at his brother. He staggered on to his feet and regained his composure. He let his body fall back into a fighting stance as he charged up his fists with green ghostly energy. "So what's the plan now?" Robin asked. "If I had one I'd tell you." Danny responded. The rest of the team groaned. "Let's just hit him with everything we've got!" Cyborg yelled. The team nodded and charged at the evil ghost. Dan easily dodged all of their attacks. Danny flew up to punch him but Dan grabbed his arm and threw him Back on to the ground. Danny groaned as he stood up. Dan smirked as he looked down at the younger ghost. Cyborg shot him in the back while he was distracted. Dan fell back on to the ground. He growled as he stood back up. "Booyah!" Cyborg said with a triumphant smirk. Danny flew down to him. "Nice shot!" He told him. "Thanks." Cyborg as he deactivated his cannon. "Lucky shot. But I guarantee you won't get another one!" Dan growled. "Heh I guarantee we will!" Beast Boy shouted at him. An angered look covered Dan's face. He shot a giant blast of green energy at them. They all gasped in fear but before the blast him a black force field surrounded them. They looked over and saw Raven holding her glowing hand up with her eyes glowing as well. They all smiled at her as she lowered the shield. Danny looked over at his evil older self and smirked at him. "Give up yet!" He yelled. "You wish!" Dan yelled. "Suit yourself." Danny said with a sarcastic shrug. Dan's eyes narrowed as he shot more blasts of green energy at the group. They all jumped out of the way. Dan screamed out in rage. "I will not be beaten by you again!" He shouted. He took a deep breath and released a ghostly wail of his own. The titans tried to stay on their feet but they were thrown back. The buildings around them began to crumble. The titans grabbed their heads and covered their ears in an attempt to block out the sound but it was no use. Finally the ear piercing noise was silenced. The titans lay on the ground breathing heavily. The city around them had been nearly destroyed.  Dan laughed evilly at their pain. "I told you, you could never beat me." He said. Danny shakily tried to get back to his feet. He had never been on the receiving end of his ghostly wail. Dan smirked as he walked up and kicked the younger boy back down on the ground. "Now let's end this!" Dan said as he pointed his glowing fist at the younger ghost.
